If you type in a date before 25th June, there are many flights - both ways - for $39 (light) and $59 with 20kg of luggage. Cheaper than the taxi to the airport.
Its for both ways… in fact, you'll find after taxes the Christchurch-Australia leg is cheaper than $99. From Australia to NZ it includes all taxes, from NZ to Australia it does not include the NZ$25 you pay at the airport on departure.
So you're looking around the $170 mark for a return flight.

I paid $275 for my recent trip to NZ with Jetstar and thought that was a very good deal. I missed out on the 2 for 1 deal they had before, which would have saved me around $40-$50 but $170ish for a return trip to NZ? That's crazy. I'm not surprised all the cheap seats have sold out.
