  Hmm not sure if it's my B&D charger or batteries, but I feel like at this point it's too risky to keep pouring money into the useless kit.

    If you don't have any use for your kit, then yes, this wouldn't make any sense.

      Well I mean I do, can always use a second drill, plus there is a recip saw that I want to use occasionally, and a battery powered circular saw that would be useful in certain situations, but I just don't know at this point.

        I have an immediate need to buy this because my old charger failed. If The B&D tools start to fail and there are no replacements, I plan to re-purpose these for some of my Stanley Fatmax Tools.

        This is a no brainer for me, as it keeps my 4 B&D tools going for another couple of years (light duty).

          @iwearpants: I was wondering if these and the Fatmax could be modded to work together (thought I had read that this was possible). I have modded Porter Cable stuff to be compatible with FatMax (though they're very, very similar).
