Literally nothing else at this price with those features, great buy!

  • Just a caution, the picture of the back of the unit I think is of another model.

    • I concur, I have this unit and it's not that.

  • Yeah I just noticed that as well
It shows 2 x HDMI outputs so I got excited

But if you look at the official page it's only 1 HDMI output
Also the configuration of all the connections are in different places

    • The number of HDMI inputs looks to differ too - pic shows 6, description says 4.

      • It's only 4. the back picture is from a higher unit model.

steer clear of grays LOL …

  • avoid anything refurbished from grays. its all in-house refurbished not by the brand or the brand's repairers

    • eBay description says manufacturer refurbished. which i guess may or may not be the case.

      • I would take that with a grain of salt. Bought sony and panasonic refurb audio and cam equipment a few times from them, and they were shocking refurbs, some faulty and had to be sent back and repaired by their own people (100% sure it was their own repairers as they stated this) and then sent back to me, all still defective and only then I got my refunds. Never again

Will the upscaling on this make my JVL TV look like an OLED?

Or will there be any improvement at all for free to air broadcast tv?

    • Apologies for the noob question. I take it the negs means the answer is no.

      • Sounds like you were trolling.

The upscaling on AV receivers is good for plugging in SD devices that use RCA cables, maybe like an old console or something to use on your 4k tv.

Regardless, it has nothing to do with FTA tv.

      • Your TV will likely upscale source material so it won’t make a difference

OLED is a different technology than LCD (I assume is what you have) so they will never looks the same, upscaling won’t make either look more similar than they already do

Moving to OLED is the biggest improvement I have seen since I bought my first plasma, I have a specific type of colour blindness so saturated colours appeal to me, might be why but generally speaking people like OLED

        • Thanks for the clarification. Whilst I was sure it wouldn't be as good as OLED, I thought there might be some benefit in the upscaling from the AV Receiver.

Good to learn something new 👍

You can buy the VSX-333 brand new for $621.60 using the same POLAR20 code from K.G. Electronics Ebay store. $177.60 more for a brand new unit, easy choice.

Refurbished is an overused word on Ebay. It just means it's second hand.

    • True, i'd rather have a new unit personally especially electronics.

Might as well buy a Yamaha 685 with eARC in that price range $700 is on sale.

Yep, $698.40, at Radio Parts Ebay store at the moment with POLAR20 voucher.

    • That's a 3 not a 6

  • This is an item I would buy refurbished. The reason is they are modular, so one board or power supply fails it's simply replaced.
These are good units by the way, I have a similar model.

  • I've had endless issues with the "Chromecast Built in" on my VSX932 unit, to the point where I've had to set it up in Google Home a few times and can't use it to stream music from my phone using spotify (luckily Spotify Connect works, although that means speaker groups don't).

Bought one, arrived today. Brand new. The box has a seal on it that says it was opened by Pioneer and modified to suit local conditions. I think they just changed to AC cord to an Australian one. Warranty in the box still states 3 years.
