    • I keep seeing these come up. I'm guessing they are pretty well regarded. How many charges can you typically expect to get from one?

      • +1

All depends on the device - I found the older 10000mAh to be enough to keep my S8 going off-grid for a long weekend (Bluetooth speaker, couple photos here and there etc.)

      • Well an iphone battery has around 3000mAh, so 3 or so full charges. But given not many people let their phone completely die, you would see 6 or more 50% charges.

An iPad battery is about 10000mAh so one full charge roughly.

        • +5

You'll have to take into account efficiency loss so not a direct 10,000/3,000

Not sure of the efficiency percentage off the top of my head tho..

          • +3

@AAAB: Actual capacity is 6,500 mAh

            • +2

@Rakddon: This here. They're measuring the mAh based on the battery voltage, not the output voltage. Bit dog of them but whatever.

        • +1

It depends how efficient the voltage on the device is. Normally if it's 10000, then expect actual capacity to be around 8-9. Top of the line powerbanks will be almost the same as listed. Treat it like hard drives - 4TB will actually give 3.63Tb. Better to work off that percentage.

      • dont leave them in your car on a hot day :)

Not quite, i picked one up from this same seller for $15.16 a few weeks ago. I put it up, but the deal was unpublished due to insufficient stock, which was incorrrect there was planty of stock - the seller just keeps putting them up as different listings

Allphones Online have already price jacked their Apple Watch 4 to $836. $37 above RRP at the apple store.

Friggen bulldust grrrrr… ebay lets these jokers get away with it for the sake of marketing.

    • +1

Kogan was fined for same behavior.

    • It really is upto the general public to be vigilant, not spoonfed dummies. If they are dodgy, don't deal with them. No, don't.

RRP afterall is only the Recommended price anyway, not mandatory price.

A quick google search will give the average slob a good guide to what something is worth. Esp, an Apple product. If they can't be f'ed to do that, maybe the seller who thinks they can sell higher than Apple, deserves the sale. Similarly, like a $5 coke in a BP servo vs Colesworth. No need for the gov to crack down on BP.

    ONLY $100,329 PLUS Shipping!

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-618-GREY-SOFA-BED-FABRIC-3-T…

    • A 3 seater sofa bed for $100,000 :) wow.. must be made of gold and diamonds

    • +2

Different form of price jacking, they put the price up so no one buys. Likely the seller had no stock left but wants to keep the listing for some reason while they restock (search ranking may be). History shows the sold ones were $329. The true price jack items are those intentionally fool people thinking they are getting a 15-20% sale.

  • +1

    Jack is back. NO BARGAIN!!!

  • +1

    So many jacks…

  • +2

goose session IPA - went up to $45 from $35. Would have bought some if it wasnt jacked.

  • Don’t buy with Gearbite. I bought a Xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner from their eBay store less than a year ago, when I asked to claim the one year warranty they promised. They simply don’t respond and it’s still not resolved. If you don’t want to waste $300 odd dollars, don’t buy Xiaomi with them

    • There's a Gearbite rep that posts here… maybe you can find that user and message them?

    • +1

Gearbite seem to be excellent around here, and the rep here seems great in responding. Honestly, your comment is the first negative time I've read about gearbite.

      Did you mean gearbest?

    • They have replied to my Facebook message this morning. Bryan from Gearbite was quite helpful and I have successfully posted the item for warranty. I was told that my previous message was blocked by eBay because I left my person email there. Anyway, looking positive now.

  • +2

The 2 stores I checked that were of interest, Hobby Warehouse and Lemony Gem Toys, were more expensive even with the discount than lots of other places. I imagine other stores will be the same. No deal.

    • Worked for me but did not checked out, I've read somewhere that you can only use the PELICAN code 5 times?
