    $24.99 for 250g?!?!

  • If anyone ever purchased from this shop, I'd Appreciate a feedback

    • I bought 1kg of Aroma. Took 2 weeks to arrive and the beans were nothing special. But ymmv.

      • Coffee snobs would say that anything over 2 weeks old roasted coffee would be stale

        • Depends on how long it take you to go through beans.
Beans can hit peak 2-4 weeks of being roasted.

          • @dasher86: Maybe, but usually their peak is much within 7 days of roasting.

I don't know of any bean that hits their peak after 4 weeks

Tried all 4 from this deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/445339
Overall below average, Aroma and VIVA were terrible, Flare and Mocha were okay/drinkable.
Maybe my experience was because they received too many orders and quality control went down.

Will I try them again? Highly unlikely.

Aroma produces lots of crema and strong flavour but a bit burnt and they don't include roast date on the pack. I prefer P&R Porter St for $12 per 500gm delivered, much better.
These prices are a rip off.

    • Purchased the variety pack - was super disappointed. Rare for me to turf out coffee (first time ever) … I won't purchase again but I'm sure they have some repeat customers as tastes vary.

      • Same, I bought a kilo for $25 or so on the deal 3 months ago or so.
Smelt off, used it a bit and very bitter (Aroma) so gave it to a friend who said they’d take it (despite what I said) and they chucked it all in their compost.

Bought 500g and came soggy and uneven profile burned roast, never again

  • IF anyone could provide feedback that would be great, I normally purchase Manna beans but these are pretty cheap.

    • +4

      Manna beans are way better.

    • +2

They are not worth it even at 1/2 price

  • They had 1kg for $22 the other day, so $24 for 500g seems a bit rich

  • Tried this and bay beans recently. Preferred the Bay beans but that’s just my opinion.

  • +1

$25 for 250g beans (normal price) is just plain ridiculous. Support your local roaster that produces beans you like instead.

  • +2

Got aroma the last time. Very average. Pablo and Rusty's are way better for $12 for 250g

  • I wouldn't want to have 2 week old roast.

  • +1

This is becoming a free ads for you guys, beans are bad and so is customer service, no date of roast and uneven profile soggy bean, never again…

  • Burnt once, not twice.

  • Tried before - didn't like it.

  • +1

Seems the reviews are pretty clear. No thanks

  • So what coffee beans/store would you guys recommend for a newbie with no clue ?

    • P&R is quite reasonable with 50% off promotion code come up so often on my FB feed, works out to be around $15 500g delivered depend on which variety.

  • +1

    these are crap
