List as Many Listings as Possible for Free and Pay up to $3.30 Per Item Sold in Final Value Fees @ eBay AU

140

Logged into my accounts this morning to activate the mega weekends selling offers but that didn't show up. Guessing this has replaced that offer and this might be the ongoing weekend offer.

Still a decent offer especially if you had items over $30 to sell. Normal FVF apply for items sold and then capped at $3.30.

Annoyingly my main seller account didn't have this offer!

  • Pay a maximum of $3.30 in Final Value Fees for any items you list and make available for purchase in a single category during the Promotion Period (see exclusions below)

A bit disappointing, Ebay promotions are getting worse as the time progresses. I'll be waiting for a no final fee

    • Haven't seen one of those in a while especially for unlimited listings. Fingers crossed one comes around… But this offer might be the "norm" now… Similar to their BS sitewide coupons which apply to "eligible items".

    • You'd see value if you sell higher-value item(s).

Q: Must one sell before a specified date to get
      the $3.30 FVF?

Or.. can we list "the lot" & sell if & when buyer
wants 1 of 'em, & still save most of the FVF cost?

I'm not even getting the usual $1.10 weekend now…

    • Yeh guessing that one might be stopped now and replaced with this one.

      • Not for me. Mine have dried up big time. Though last week I got my first 3 free fvf listings in a long time. Was getting them most weeks.

  • There has been a Gumtree offer on for over a year where you get free listing on ebay including final value fees if you list on there first and then click on the link at the end to copy to eBay. Unfortunately eBay and Gumtrees marketing departments aren't taking to each other so I always get charged and then have to complain to get the invoice credited.

      So, save time by complaining
      to Consumer Affairs or ACCC,
      for a change.

      Free means Free (like BrExit
      means BrExit :Theresa May ;~)
      &
      False advertising is a No-No
      last time I checked.

  • It's up to $3.30 FVF per item. So this is worse than the $1 weekend now. With PayPal no longer refunding fee even if the seller is not at fault for the refund, time to start looking elsewhere.

Go to your seller hub overview and look at the offer carefully:

List as many items for free with $3.30 in Final Value Fees per item. T&Cs apply.

    • Isn’t there going to be a new eBay payment platform as they ‘divorce’ themself from PayPal?

      • Adyen? 2020 I think…

It's the same offer as the $1 weekend offer but it has just increased to $3.30. I will put "per item" in the heading.

geez, it's getting worse and worse. weekend specials now gone too. i've pretty much stopped selling

Terrible deal! If not many taking up this, eBay will back off. Boycott this, get eBay thinking properly again.

    eBay is so 2002

    • Whats the alternative for selling apart from gumtree?

      • +1

Facebook Marketplace is the one I am looking at. Gumtree is owned by feeBay.
Though less fuss selling on eBay (buy it now listings). Everything integrated reasonably well.

  • I'm not even getting this one in none of my accounts.Wow.

    Boo. Hiss.

  • tried two accounts
Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.
    haha

  • Thanks OP. I've got stuff to sell and was pretty annoyed to discover that the $1 deal was no longer working. This is a whole lot better than nothing, and activated fine for me.

  • This makes me sad. I relied on this to sell second hand items so I could buy from the ebay stores. Now I can’t even do that. No offer for me either. So I’m pulling my remaining listings today and cancelling ebay plus when it is due for renewal in July. Another place I won’t spend money.

Well there goes me listing on ebay. Between paypal fees postage and Ebay fees and the fact all these promotions are eligible sellers so it doesnt even help me sell it was close to not even worth selling on there but now they pull this… guess ill up my listings by 3.3 and if it sells it sells.
