    Use code WEEKEND25 for 25% off. (~$29.95USD)

    Same deal is available at Stack Social and TNW;

I recommend and use Ivacy. Good for P2P and US Netflix.

    And did very well at the recent Pro Privacy VPN awards;

  • Can you confirm if VPN netflix works? and the speed is good?

    • +1

Yes they offer US Netflix when you choose their streaming servers. Speed is fine for me in WA.

Lifetime subscription lasts 5 years? Who do they think I am? An unvaccinated child?

    • +1

Free renewals at the end of 5 years.. Maybe they are not sure what will happen at the end of 5 years :-)

    • +1

Pretty obvious that a VPN provider selling lifetime memberships, probably won’t exist in 5 years anyway.

        Windscribe says hello.

I made this comment in the VPN Unlimited thread, but it bears repeating here.

Newish VPN providers will allow lifetime subs to get a cash injection and a solid customer base built up. Once it proves it can offer a decent service, and get good independent reviews, they shift to a premium pricing model.

Admittedly, it can be a gamble, but the price is so low, it's hardly a loss even if they did shut down in a few years.

But as always, do your research, look for a VPN that's getting good independent feedback before committing.

I got the Windscribe lifetime sub. Best deal ever.

  • Can anyone share actual speed results from oz?

    • I am on 100/30 Telstra. When connected to NYC I get 55/2.8 with a ping of 257

It is still working and comes down to $24 USD

  • There's been some serious marketing by these cheap VPN providers lately, I wonder what's going on.

  • Does it allow torrents as well?

    • +1

Yes. Looking at the mobile app, in 28 countries it has P2P friendly servers.

However I'd have to check my PC to see which ones are P2P optimised. There is a shorter list.

  • Got the Ivacy deal via Stacksocial a few days ago.
Installed the app under Win10 and worked fine, but it somehow rogered my PIA install - something to do with the TAP driver.
So uninstalled Ivacy and tried to re-install PIA, but wouldn't work - TAP driver issues again.
Ended up using backup image of OS to get back to close to where i started.

Probably just me as i've had problems with the TAP driver before…

  • I got "lifetime" subscription a few years back. Ivacy tells me it's going to expire. So how do I make it "lifetime"? What's this free renewal, and how do I do that?

When I asked Ivacy about it, they just said "lifetime" is 5 years in software terms.

  • I used this before for 2 years and at the end of my subscription I used to get horrible speed. But at that time I had adsl. Not sure how it is now.

    • Just ran a test. When I choose Ivacy's streaming server for US Netflix, speedtest result shows my speed is ~29Mbps (I'm on 100/40 plan and usually get ~90Mbps). But 29Mbps is plenty fast enough to run Netflix.

Edit: For comparison, I'm getting ~12Mbps on Windscribe's US Netflix server, and ~13Mbps on SaferVPN's US Netflix server.

Use the code "WEEKEND60" to bring it down to US$16

      Sweet Jesus!

    • Nice! (Just under $24 AUD)

    • Woo-hoo! Also works with the StackSocial NAT Firewall version.

      Just bought one.

    • expired :( that was an amazing deal, no choice for me going to use the DN40 instead

  • Excellent nothing like knowing you could have saved specially when you start the thread :-) … Having said that this thing is great for the price but lacking in speed..For anyone looking or needing just US servers check out Proton VPN.. their free service has comparable speeds.. Not sure about netflix or privacy though
