Because Ring will replace it for free.
Which you need to get a police report and other forms for them to even look at it for a potential replacement? It's not guaranteed.
How do you install it "properly"? Serious question.
Surely these have lost popularity since Ring were busted sharing the data from the camera feeds
Im still tossing up between this and the Nest Hello…
Which has better video quality and quicker push notifications?
Nest hello. Is google so you will be lucky if they don’t get bored with it and turn off the whole range.
The nest camera's are very popular for them, they have now rebranded all their home automation solutions to Nest, so not likely to go anywhere. My Nest Hello works great.
They killed the external API at the same time as rebranding so now IFTT doesn't work anymore
Perfect example of why not to buy google products.(not to mention all the spying they do)
@unifex: As to digital assistants, Tibbets says IFTTT is still working with Google and will have integrations through Google Home in the coming months. He thinks IFTTT still represents a valuable service for Google because it lets IFTTT manage platform integrations while Google works on core features, such as natural language processing, local control, and reducing latency.
Which has better video quality and quicker push notifications?
Nest Hello and it has face detection as well. I get an alert on my phone that movement has been detected when someone walks by often before they have left the view of the camera.
I picked mine up for under $300 from Kogan last year. Need a yearly subscription however but the cost per year is low.
Wow a door bell for under $500😱😱!!
And intercom system.
And security camera.
And motion sensor.
Anyone have the Aldi one? Care to comment on its quality?
If you actually buy this can you please make sure you actually install it properly. I've seen too many videos of people with a Ring doorbell who have essentially just stuck it on their wall and a thief has come by and simply unlatched it.
