  I think you'll find a lot of people going to arbitration for failure to uphold the ACL with that ridiculous 1 year warranty.

    I find that Acer is a mixed bag - over the years in buying them, i find that some products really last beyond their intended lifecycle (like their monitors) while others (like the lower end laptops) tend to last for a couple of years before before something goes wrong and it becomes unusable. In this case, i think the product will probably last long enough before people start upgrading anyway.

    That said, I have to say, I'm thankful for Oz's consumer protection laws - makes a huge difference when companies try to pull these types of tricks

  I have this laptop and I like it a lot but I paid $850 for it at the start of 2018 at JB hifi. I don't know if I would buy it now for that price.

  They don't list the finger print reader in the specifications on this listing which might explain why my fingerprint reader randomly stopped working and disappeared from devices. :S
