What are the items and their prices?
How is it a deal if we don't know either yet

  • The upto 50% off on selected item seems interesting… (coming 21st of May).

    • Game of thrones code?

      • I don't watch it… so I don't get the joke…

    • It'll be crap that was already overpriced to offer the discount.

    Any bargains ?

      According to OP:

      Bargain examples.

      Samsung Galaxy S10 128GB $1199 ($1079.10 for eBay Plus)
Bose QuietComfort 35 II $353 ($317.70 for eBay Plus)

I wouldn't bother signing up for feeBay Plus with those "bargains".

The ability to find a bargain from these codes is becoming more and more difficult. Surely a marketing teams job is to make it both enticing and easy to find something to buy?

What exactly is the reason for your negative vote?

      • +2

        They found it cheaper elsewhere.

        • They didn't find it at all :D

        • That's a nice assumption for someone that attempts to state the obvious as a day job.

      • Evidently that a good bargain is hard to find.

      • You must be from the eBay Marketing department?

        • -2

You must be attempting to jump on the OzB neg bandwagon.

So, are you able to answer the question?

          • @magic8ballgag: The whole point of Ozbargain is to highlight bargains to other users. What ebay have done here is to showcase a potential bargain for marketing reasons but then hide them. It's stupid and a big step change in their approach.

            • @C0mbat:

The whole point of Ozbargain is to highlight bargains to other users.

You've got your work cut out for you then, as a large amount of the deals posted on this site don't fall under the category of 'bargains'.

But let's all pick on eBay because it's easy attention, right?

              • @magic8ballgag: Clearly I'm not the only one. Is this the lowest ever number of positive votes for an eBay discount code? Probably.

And I agree that many deals on this site aren't bargains, particularly the associated ones. However, that wasn't my point. At least they make it quick to judge. This is just a mystery that will probably remain one. Sales should only be a mystery if you drum up the excitement we'll enough. I'm still perplexed as to what ebay have done here.
