  • nfc on the title but description said no. ip68 on title but description said not waterproof

    • However the product page does ;)

  • "NFC : NO" but title suggests otherwise?

    • There is NFC. We can thank BG for not updating their template correctly.

      • +1

And the product detailed spec says there is wireless charging, contrary to what is listed above. Looks like someone is really careless.

        • They must have heard you because now the description on BG both say support for NFC and Wireless Charging.

  • I thought that an IP68 rating means that it is waterproof up to a depth of 1.5m as well as being dust proof to a certain level.

    • Strictly say it's only resistance not proof

  • NFC, USB C and headphone jack… I've been looking at various Ulefone ARMORs for awhile now, but they were always lacking something. My only quibble with this is the battery, bit bigger would be nice. But tempting nonetheless.

    • 1 x Type-C to 3.5mm Transfer

I have been rused. Yeah, pretty sure this is the thing that always stops me getting one. Sad.

  • Whoa that's a lot of phone for the price.

  • This sounds pretty solid.
Anyone comment on their software and or spy/ad ware?

Would consider this given you don't need a case, just need a tempered glass screen protector

    • +2

I had the ulefone vienna which was meant to be their flagship at the time. It got one update and then was completely abandoned.
Didn't seem to have any malicious stuff, but who knows at the end of the day

      • Thanks for the heads up.
Any way to put vanilla Android on it?

  • +4

I find only US$ price in title a bit misleading.

  • I don't need it but rugged with android 9.0… I have an AGM x1, AGM x2 already - both developed faults and on old android which will never be updated. Bought a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and was about to start using it - not rugged but good with updates!… Heard of the Ulefone and seem to have decent enough reviews…specs seem ok for everyday use.. should be good for travel if nothing else.

  • What's the usual price?

  • If battery size is your main factor the link below is to a model with a very big 1300mAh battery but no band 28 and Android 8.1.

    • Oops. I meant 13,000 mAh. That would mske it rather heavy and chunky but it would be great for outdoor trips as a long lasting GPS and mapping device.

  • For the model this deal is for its coming up as AU $288.
I'm very tempted. I want an ip68 phone with good cameras. Anyine have any idea of how the xameras stack up for photo and picture quality in good snd low light? My kids'oppo A73s suck at taking pictures in low light.

  • The price is AU$288.37 why does the deal say $320?

    • +1

That's the final price after you add GST.

      • yes you are right I didnt think GST would be that much lol

        • BG, like eBay and others, charges GST as requested (required?) by our government. For some reasons, Gearbest has not charged GST since around last November and doesn't seem to run into any trouble yet.

          • @WantToPayLess: Gearbest charge GST now.

            • @Clear: Didn't know that as haven't ordered from them for several months now. Perhaps it was just a "glitch" that they did not charge me GST for the couple of orders I placed late last year…

              • @WantToPayLess: They were intentionally not charging it last year but given their parent company does business in Australia they had to.

    • Ah. I did forget gst would be added.
Still. If the cameras were good this would be a lot cheaper than an S10 with IP68. I like to ski, paddle, snorkel and scuba dive so a phone that can durvive getting wet is a big tick for me.
