ANZAC DAY FOOTY
It’s one of the biggest AFL matches of the year, you don’t want to miss a minute of the action. We’ll be open from 12-11pm serving $10 pints of Carlton Draught and Melbourne Bitter, PLUS we’re shouting FREE pots from kick off to the first point is scored.

GTFO, this is straya, mate. Get a beer up ya!
NZ doesnt even have an AFL team. So really its the AAC day footy.
I just saw this and noticed how disrespectful it is to run a sporting event on the same day.
dont worry, birds of tokyo are playing b4 the match
LOL first point in AFL - probably 1 minute into the game.
You don't really see free beer offers very much in Australia, I would have thought that that was because it would go against the responsible service of alcohol laws? (Not meaning to imply that this is irresponsible, no-one is getting hammered on free pots for at most 5 to 10 minutes)
we need to get the mc donald hackers onto this one, surely they work out how to get cheap beer,
“ bring own jug, order beers and pour into jug before first point, after first point refill glass from jug, and watch the match”
$10 pints. I might be showing my age and my antisocial personality but is that considered a good price?
$10 for a pot is very expensive even for a craft beer let alone carlton draft on tap which is usually the budget beer on the tap.
at $45 a slab, a stubbie is bigger than a pot, so $2 per stubbie at home or $10 for. pot in a pub ….. and they made fun of people eating smashed avo at cafes , guess if a politician made fun of people paying $10 for a pot of beer and complaining about housing affordability that would offend more people.
It says pint not pot. $10 is about standard for a pint. Extrapolated, it’s like paying around $5 for a pot
Rip off if you ask me, it should be half that, especially for Carlton Draught. No wonder people don't go to the pub much anymore.
Kick Off? Which sport is this? OP must be from NSW. It's "from the opening bounce" mate
That's literally what the pub's website says
Whoever devised this promotion must be really, really old:
2 The Captains on each side shall toss for choice of Goal; the side losing the toss has the kick off from the centre point between the Goals
-Melbourne Rules of 1859
Note: A centre bounce to start each quarter was introduced in 1890/91.
The commercialisation of Anzac Day. How sad.
