Similar kind of benefits and it looks like it is by the entertainment book group.
The discounts look less.
Yes. You get about 25% off at best. Barely any buy 1 get one free offers.
Frequent Values is owned by Entertainment Book but it's the poor ugly cousin
Overseas Exchange Fees 3%
I take that to mean "foreign currency or any merchant located overseas, even if they charge in AUD."
Still happily using my Bankwest Platinum card after 10 years, with travel insurance, no overseas/FX fees and no annual fees.
+1 for the bankwest card. Pair it with the citibank debit card and all overseas transactions are fee free!
You've summed up how I travel :)
What is also great is that the Bankwest Platinum card works with Google Pay; when I use my credit card overseas, I am often asked for a signature, whereas through Google Pay it gets accepted "as is".Damn i have to get on this…
I'm only using 28degrees..They don't refund fees though, like ING
Yes, but ING (or Bankwest) might charge a markup on currency conversion?
Which card is that? One of their current ones?
Basically an extension of this deal
HSBC are a terrible bank IMO. Entertainment values is poor compared to the Entertainment Book
If only they brought back the 60K QFF bonus
I'd just take AMEX Discovery, no annual fee, and much better customer support.
This has lounge access and more insurances (if I'm not wrong?)
Their app is the worst I've used, hideous, buggy and slow af.
I used to bank with HSBC, at the time they had a calculator sized two factor authentication dongle that you were supposed to carry around to be able to use internet banking. That was a pretty big factor in me dropping them. I can deal with an app, sms, or RSA style dongle, but I'm not going to carry around something -half the size of my phone- just to use internet banking.
Then of course there's the money laundering, dealing with terrorists, and mexican cartels if you want more to complain about.
How is it equivalent ?
