    Anandtech Review

The fact that it's QLC really seems to hurt it's performance once you fill up the SLC cache. But still a decent purchase for light users.

This was a better deal for an extra $10 (or $4.50 extra if you got the Cashback). I got the 512GB variant but haven't installed it yet…

I wonder if any manufacturer will dare to team QLC with a DRAMless NVMe controller, just for sake of marketing the title of the cheapest NVMe SSD.

  • got 2 both got an issue with intel nuc, drive keep disappearing every few hours

tried all update options and workarounds, none work for me, bought both last week

  • Just wonder if we can use some kind of case to convert this as USB "SSD" drive ?

I'd just wait for the Silicon Power drives on Amazon to come back in stock considering their performance is pretty high up there.

You can also use the other drives that have the same 3D NAND+Phison Controller as a reference for performance and durability: MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro, Corsair MP510. Addlink S70, Seagate FireCuda/BarraCuda 510, Sabrent Rocket, Inland Premium, and Team MP34.

Much of it differs in warranty period but Silicon Power has a warranty of 5 years with no stated TBW (so arguably, they can't really use TBW against you).
