  Is a ethernet cable needed to connect the camera ?
  The camera says wifi - so I would have imagined the outdoor cam would only need power supply.
  Is it continuous recording (On to the memory card which I have to install after opening the camera)? Or selective recording ?
  How does one access the videos ?

    Niced to got your comment.
    If you finished the wifi connect, you don't need to a ethernet cable.
    It will continuous recording on to the memory and the camera not including the memory card.
