ICABLETASTIC

Hi! Got something today that might interest the bargain hunters here - iPhone charging cable for 99 cents, delivery on the first cable is $2.95 after that each additional is 99 cents. Limit for the coupon is 2 per customer, but even if you want a few more our price is still extremely competitive!

Just apply the coupon "ICABLETASTIC" once you've added the cables to your cart to receive the discount.

Hope this interests you guys, there's just under 500 units available @ this price on the coupon, offer expires either tomorrow or once 500 is reached.

I'm sure if you scour the interwebs there'll be cheap overseas sellers or ebayers with good pricing too - bear in mind we've got local stock, can ship out within a day and I'd like to think have a good reputation for service and delivery :-) Besides, who wants to wait 8 weeks for a cable right? :D

Thanks all!

  • $1.60 USD delivered on dealextreme… (so close to $1.50 AUD)

    • Hi, agree… one issue is DX have VERY SLOW delivery at the moment, some customers are telling me in excess of 8 weeks if at all. We have local stock ready to go, I don't think DX has a good reputation at the moment for speedy or even complete delivery. Just sayin'! :-) I order something from them later last year, after 6 weeks I received the box, the unit was not inside, they don't answer their emails.

Not speedy, but they've always delivered to me… usually around 3-4 weeks i've found…

      • …focalprice then, US$1.98, or ~AU$1.81

ebay has a million of these for $1.99 free shipping aus stock

    lol tough crowd :)

  • Can be found on eBay sometimes for 99c delivered much quicker than DX or focalprice.

    • agreed. i have often bought them off ebay in the past for ~$1.20 USD delivered each.

  • so for 1 cable its $3.94 and 2 cables its $5.92?

Hi bbyboy, thats correct. So apart from a few overseas and ebay sellers our price is the best right? I'm happy with that since there is still a large segment of the market out there unwilling to deal with either of those. Thanks for the feedback all!

Is this a generic iPhone/iPod/iPad cable or an official Apple cable (part MA591G/B)? If it's a generic cable, I think it's somewhat misleading to cite a RRP of "$25" and link to the official product on Apple's and JB Hi-Fi's site in your description, without explicitly stating that the cable you are selling is not the exact same product.

You previously claimed that the iPhone 4 docks you sold were "genuine" and "the EXACT SAME dock JB etc sell", which is why I'm confused if this is genuine or not: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43148#comment-442870

    • Hi Jump, from the same factory in Shenzhen not stamped "Apple" but the same thing as mentioned.

      • i agree with jump, that seems like pretty deceptive marketing.

      • That is very deceptive and misleading advertising. You cannot compare genuine Apple products and generics and not mention that your product is a generic. To do so is a dishonest business practice.

Alternatively, you could say that the product is an OEM, which tells us that its the same thing but different branding.

        • Hi Scaryzombie I will change the description to mention is it an OEM. Regards :)

  • if ya need now

    4 bucks
    extra 6 cents

  • becareful that these aren't the same as the ones at the reject shop … the cables are only about 10cm long. really pathetic.

    • Nope, same length as the Apple stamped one :)

      • how long?

        • 100cm, THE SAME :)

Why would you pay $3.94 for 1 cable with this deal?

Generic or genuine is there really going to be a difference in quality?

I just ordered off eBay the 6ft generic version of the cable. I think the 3ft(1m) version are too short.

Anyways, if it is genuine then perhaps it is a bargain, otherwise its expensive.

    • depends on the type of cable, data may be ok but take for example the video out cables, apple has screwed every other cable manufacturer by putting in a microchip into the cable so that only genuine cables work, as evidenced by the many comments on Dx where the reviews say "no video output only audio"

      • Yeah, I heard about that, the genuine video cables are expensive. But for these generic data/charging cables, surely there isn't going to be much difference in quality would there?

        • I dunno… my bf got me one of these generic ones a couple of months ago (or maybe a year ago? don't really remember) but it's stopped working. Never had that happen with a genuine one. But the generic ones are so cheap anyway I guess it doesn't really matter!

  • Cheap shite you can get anywhere.
