If we save this deal as well as https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/443568 I wonder if we would get both cashbacks on $600+ spend?

    • +1

      Yes

    • +4

I just spent $604.90 and received a confirmation email from Amex for both offers ($300/$50 and $600/$150). I don't have the credit yet, but it looks like it works!

      • -2

Please confirm if it works and both cash backs come through

Hope you didn't forget the shopback 5% cashback for an extra $30 off

        • would shopback/cashrewards void the Amex credit?
          not sure after this:

Excludes transactions made through a third party establishment or payment processor.

            • @easternculture: I used cashback of 2% after reading this, I assume Nope means using cashback does not void the Amex offer.

              Can anyone please confirm?

as I have not received confirmation email from Amex after my purchase,

              Edit:

Confirmed received confirmation emails from Amex.

        • Both shopback and cashback only showing 2% for me, not 5%.

      • Hi, I just placed an order online for ps4 pro and game. Was wondering how much longer after placing the order did you receive a confirmation email from Amex?

        Edit:

Received confirmation emails from Amex soon after the purchase for both offers.

My phone was not showing the emails but I then saw them on my laptop.

      • Was it online or in-store?
If in-store, was it a Sony Kiosk?

      • +4

Confirming that I received $200 credit now :)

        • +2

Me too. Got Chatswood Kiosk to price match @$1200 for something that was originally $1499. Then applied two Amex cards with both offers saved. $600 each. So paid $1200 but got back $400!! So paid $800 for something with $1499 full price. Cheering! Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP but I might wait for the spend $600, get Linda back promo.

  • +5

My offer is spend $300 for $50 credit.

    • +2

The promo linked in the app was 50 off 300 but I was able to manually register for this as well.
Not sure what I will get if I spend 600 though? 1 the other or both

      • Yes you can manually sign up for this offer.

      • I'm assuming both. I signed up manually successfully for both and they are showing in the offers tab on my amex app.

        • +1

Hope someone can confirm total $200 back on $600 spend with both offers combined.

  • Was looking for a camera.. unfortunately they have quite a few priced at the full retail RRP. Perhaps they'll bring some prices down before May.

  • Has anyone here had experience with successfully price matching at the Sony online store, with third party retailers for their products? I.e matching an item with Sony directly that JB Hifi have on sale?

    • +1

Yup. I've done it a couple of times. They're usually pretty sweet with price matching large retailers like JB HiFi. None of that Hardly Normal bullshit.

      • How would you pay for the item if you got online live chat to price match?

Would that method of payment still qualify you for the Amex deal?

  • +1

t&c have the following 'Excludes the following locations: Sony Kiosk Highpoint and all Sony Centres, Sony Authorised Retailers, Camera Specialists and Service Centres.'

So I am wondering what stores are not excluded?

    • +1

I was wondering the same thing. It makes it sound like it excludes all Sony stores.

    • The Online store?

      • +1

The silly Amex spiel says to spend online or in-store yet all physical stores excluded. Physical stores would have given us a chance to split payment.

  • Is there a possibility to split payment? Looking to get a OLED TV.

    • I think it will be impossible to split payment if we can't use the deal at a physical store.

  • "Excludes Sony Kiosk Highpoint" anyone know if this means in excludes the Sony permanent kiosks in westfields?

edit: never mind, just realized "Highpoint" meant Highpoint shopping center.

  • +1

so, if I saved both the offers (Spend 600, get 150 offer and spend 300,get 50 offer) to my card, if I buy something worth $600, does anyone know if it'll trigger both and give me $200 back? That'd be sweet!

    • +1

I'd like to know this too - $400 ps4 pro would be sweet.

      • I would say it would. Two different offers (store offer and shop small offers) were triggered with one transaction for me once, so hoping it'll work for this too. Can confirm that both the offers appeared on my AMEX account as two separate offers.

      • If the 2 offers stack and you use CashRewards you could get a PS4 Pro + an extra controller with Fortnite DLC for around $440 by my calculation, delivery would be on top of that.

    • Yep I'm in the queue as well to know whether both offers can stack for $200 back … hope someone can confirm soon :)

  • +1

The ps4 pro is frustratingly $599, could I add something small from the website to push it over 600? Or does the single item need to be over 600?

    • Its always single charge of over X dollars so adding something for $1 will work fine

      • Lol. The trouble of finding a $1 item.

        • Add a second controller. If you do any long gaming sessions of have a friend over then you're going to need one

    • +1

      Pro is listed as $559

      https://store.sony.com.au/playstation-console/PLAYSTATION4PR…

You can buy something like a camera accessories (only cheap stuff that I could find on their store) https://store.sony.com.au/lenses-accessories#srule=price-asc…

      • Might just get god of war… I can only find it for like $20 cheaper at other stores anyway, and it's better than forcing myself to spend $40 on something I don't need.

    • Maybe try the E9LP earphones? $14.95 (other stores usually sell it for $10) quite cheap and hopefully not too hard to resell? https://store.sony.com.au/headphones#srule=price-ascending&s…

    • Does anyone know which version of PS4 pro they are selling? would that be the latest model CUH-7200? Their support team is helpless, spent an hour online and on phone and wouldn't able to get an answer.

  • Can we get both offers?

    • +3

The link in the OP IS a manual link if you actually bothered clicking on it …

    • This gotta all time laziness

      • entitled much?

  • Why has this been marked as targeted when the OP has included a manual link?

    • I think some people reported the deal as they wanted to see a “targeted sign” - maybe targeted to amex card holders? Not sure, but it’s been fixed now & “targeted” removed

  • +2

I love how it's cheaper to buy an a6300 camera from a store like Teds, then from Sony even with this coupon code. Talk about markup.

I guess it's back to waiting for a good deal.

    • yeah, the items I have looked at I need Sony to pricematch a competitor or it's not worth it.

  • Was hoping there'd be some phones on offer but seems like all of them listed on the website are discontinued… poop

  • Anyone had any luck with double cashback?

  • +1

How does one find these manual links?

  • it looks like theyve increased the price of a lot of items. the rx100 m3 went from $799 to $999….

    • I'm sure yesterday one camera I looked at was 14xx now it's 16xx

  • I have a gift card for the sony store. From the wording Im guessing i still need to be charged $600+ directly to my amex in order to qualify for cash back.

  • +1

Anyone buying this premium walkman for $4,299?

    https://store.sony.com.au/walkman/NWWM1Z.html#start=1

    • I have one, you wanna buy?

    • Shame that the gift card can't be used in but I'm keen to know if we get cashback on gift card purchases like other AMEX deals. If so then you can wait for online store sales.

      • And split payments

  • Can someone help me understand if this is available in store? The terms say that it excludes "Sony Kiosk Highpoint and all Sony Centres, Sony Authorised Retailers, Camera Specialists and Service Centres" but then when you click into the link of store.sony.com.au, it lists my local Sony store in Chatswood.

Is anyone able to confirm if it will work in the stores listed on the Sony website?

    • Sony Chatswood is a Kiosk, not a Centre. You'll get your statement credit if you buy there

      • Thanks!

  • +2

Our system is not responding at this time, please try again later.

    anyone got this error?

    • yep, same

  • My portal doesn't have this one. I only have the $300 get $50.

I will try manually enrolling, but wonder if you can stack both if you spend $600.

    • -8

Of course not. Only one offer will trigger and that will be the one offering the highest discount.

      • Where is your source?

      • +2

        Definitely a non-professional
        Gerry would love you

      • Below shown that$200 credit has been applied. Seem there is retarded SE.

        • -2

Good to know. The RRP prices on Sony's website are so dismal.

          • @conservative: If you lucky to live in NS2 can go to Chatswood and rhey offer price match so can ignore their recommanded rip off price.

            • -1

@SnoozeAndLose: Thanks. I do live near there. Just gotta find something that's a bargain that I probably don't need.

  • wow not a single sony store in Brisbane??

  • That'd be right… I just bought two A7iii bodies last month. :(

  • +1

anyone else having an issue registering?

says the system is currently not working atm

    • Same problem for me

      • Same here, is the redemption limit reached already?

        • yup looks like it.

  • +6

    • Nice. Let the games begin 😁

    • wow nice! Thanks for the confirmation 👍

  • Was this online or in a store?

  • -1

Can anyone confirm success on both Amex credit & cashrewards/shopback?

    • +1

  • anyone was able for price matching at the Sony online store ?!

  • Hi all, can anyone confirm that I can get the cashback if I were to purchase a Sony gift certificate from the online store?
