What's so good about the Mark 6?

      Mark III is quite old.

      • i had no need for the newer features, ie 4k.

    • Did Sony give the extra battery advertised on HN when they price matched?

      • +1

    • Its sad but there are none.

Wow that sucks. I have 5 cards and wanted an a73 with $800 off. Will they let me do 5 cards online? How about 5 gift cards??

I went to the Sony Kiosk at Chatswood Westfield to price match a Sony A6400 and paid with two Amex cards. Got the email 5 minutes later that the credit for 2*($150+$50) have been applied. Couldn't be happier with Sony and AMEX.

    • Which store did you price match with?

      • +1

I price matched DigiDirect since their price was $100 less than the Sony store.

Confirmed my Amex received $200 for both offers ($150 + $50) the next day after I placed my order online.

I just checked my Amex via the app.

Has anyone tried buying a Gift Certificate from the Sony website and was successful? It won't add to my cart …

    • Did you have any luck? Looks to be the same issue 10+ days later

  • Bought an A6500 from Parramatta Kiosk. Can confirm that got both $150 and $50 email as well.

  • +1

Can also confirm that if you saved both Sony offers, that you get $200 back

    • Did you buy a gc?

      • Nope; couldn't figure out how. Bought noise-cancelling headphones instead

Same for 2 orders or 2 different cards

      • I'm assuming it's too late to try and save it now? There doesn't seem to be any text when I click onto the link.

  • Bought the 49" X75F LED 4K HDR - $724.50
Used my Amex and got charged as Sony Centre on my Amex card, should I be worried of not getting the cashback?

    • Yes; it said Sony Centres are excluded. There's no eligible stores in Victoria

      • Yeah… but I bought on Sony.com.au… the TV is on backorder and I didn't get the usual Amex email, checked Amex online account and shows pending charge on Sony Centre… Will most likely need to ring them to follow up…

        • No idea then. I bought from Sony online last week but the pending charge didn't show up as Sony Centre

  • How long did it take people to receive the emails? Haven’t got them yet.

    • Instantly for my two DJs Amex cards, nothing for my Velocity Escape Amex but still got the $200 credit

      • On your Amex app does it say the purchase was from “Sony store” ?

        • +1

Sony Australia Ltd Sony North Sydney

          • @kerfuffle: Mine is still pending hope it fixes when it goes through. Thanks for your help

  • Did the price of the WH-1000XM3 on the Sony Store just go UP by $50…?
    https://store.sony.com.au/headphones-noisecancelling/WH1000X…

Seems like I'm better off buying elsewhere, even with the combined $200 off.

Anyone was able to price match 65" TV at Sony Kiosk and used the AMEX cash back? Their TV prices are not that attractive.

    • None of their prices of anything are attractive. Nothing is on sale.

  • I'm buying an item that is $599 and need $1 extra.

What are some cheap items that aren't discontinued? Their range is pathetic. Everything is much more expensive than you can find elsewhere, and cheap things like AA batteries or blank DVDs are all discontinued.

  • Has anyone tried buying a $600 gift card? Does it get cashback?

It's not mentioned anywhere that you can't buy gift cards, but I'm always nervous about these things.

Never mind, seems it won't add to cart. No error message, just nothing happens.

    • Anyone know if buying a gift card can trigger the cash back?
