The best part is, JV comes around to collect the mouse once you've caught it.

Ah, I was just about to ask what you're supposed to do with the mice after you've caught them.

      • +2

The description says catch and release. So essentially like possums - you never get rid of them. Lol

      • +1

        You kill it !!!

feed them a diet of oats, corn and beer. massage them daily and play them relaxing classical music until they become plump and marbled.

@holdenmg: Um, I'm not quite sure how to tell you this, but…

Awesome, catching Live bait for bass fishing is sorted.

    • What the flaming F bass are you catching?!

      I want in!

    What's the point?

    • +2

Sell them on Gumtree to someone who owns a snake?

    • you can easily release them at the house your arch nemesis for maximum revenge

        What if they're homing mice?

        • Good point. People always forget about the incredible homing abilities of mice.

or $1.55 for 2 from Bunnings

I have actually just put a mouse trap for one (probably multiple) in the house.
You catch as many as you can with the traps then put down poison bait in case you missed any.

Great for anyone with a pet snake.

    But bad price.

    • Are you feeding your snake live rodents?

      • +1

no they feed them ozbargainers - cheaper that way

        • And you don't get as fond of them.

I got those a few weeks ago. They worked better than other traps. Got mice in those, other traps only worked 1/3 of the time.
Cats are quite old, now I just open trap with mouse and they kill it immediately. Better cat food!
Also, other traps were dangerous with kids around, where these can't hurt them.

  • Thanks OP, reminds me I need a bigger version.

Can anyone recommend a good humane rat trap (which works)? Quite a few (trap types) around.

    Tom needs this

When shopping mouse traps, there's nothing like the Mouse Trap Monday guy on youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wdoj6Rb9z8

    (1 million subscribers)

    • I thought it was one of those dumb stupid video. Ended up watching the whole god damn video. Cheers

      • He makes a new one every Monday, that's why he's got 1 million subscribers.

      • michaelTito, check out some of the vids on historical traps, they're really interesting.

      • I love the insightful comments on how the mice die at the bottom of the seemingly dry bucket.

It had some peanut oil to soak through the fur so the mice died of cold.

        Someone posted "peanut allergy" 😂

  • Lol

(3)If mouse has expired in trap, you may dispose of it in a refuse container without ever touching the mouse!

  • I'm waiting for a "Guillotine Mousetrap" deal

  • When I had a serious mouse problem in our old house, I did try the humane method for a long time.
But it was slow and ineffective, in the end I gave up and saturated the place in poison and no more mice.

Besides when you release the mouse you're most likely just dumping it for someone else to deal with or for an outdoor cat to eat anyway.

    • By chance did you notice a few dead owls around your area soon after? Probably not as they flew away to die equally horrible deaths out of your sight.

  • I treat rodents like id treat humans, if you eat my food chew up my shit and shit everywhere ill poisen the human too.

  • +1

Owls and eagles (wildlife, not captive). Rarely see rabbits or rats on my property.
