  • For those wondering Wolfenstein New Colloseus and South Park Fractured But Whole has less than $10 trade in value at EB

doubtful as can get it for $12 pre-owned or $19 new from EB basically whatever EB has for pre-owned on there website take about 1/3 of its price and thats how much its worth in for trade in value.

      • Nope, already called. Trades in for $6.

        • Actually, $4 just checked a couple hours ago.

  • so first thing i want to know is can someone point to some cheap titles that i can purchase for close to $10 that can still be traded back in for over $10 trade in value, last time i tried trading some games in they were worth sweet FA.

    • Read through the old deals above.

      • Problem with looking through old deal for cheap titles that worked is only needed to be worth $5 before , plus eb has price cut alot of stuff recently so trying to find stuff worth $10 trade in value now is harder

        • Ah, apologies for the tone.

Best way is to call them unfortunately, or wait for others to report the prices here.

  • NBA 2k18 for switch was worth $18 before bonuses a few days ago

  • Trade in a game temporarily to make use of this deal then buy it back under their ‘zero regrets’ trade policy. Outcome: 50% off $30 Xbox/PSN credit.

Did this today with RDR2. Traded in, got my $30 PSN credit. Lined up again and said I changed my mind about RDR2 and bought it back for the same price I traded it in for.

    • RDR2 only trades in for $15? Oh man.

      • +1

Lol nah it’s like $30 something lol. $15 goes towards the credit and the rest on a gift card. Didn’t look too closely because I was gonna buy the game back anyways.

        • Trade RDR2 game

          $15 —-> PSN card
          $15 —-> Credit

paid $30 to get the game back. How is the outcome 50% off when the amount you got matches the amount u put in?

          • @darkoverlord: I think @epicttiimm means they got $30 trade in value for RDR2. That was put towards $30 of PSN/Xbox credit. This deal gives you an extra $15 free PSN/Xbox store credit. So $30 gets you $45.

            (edit) spelling

    • hmm i wonder how there zero regrets trade policy works for those trade in 2 games and get new release for $29 deals

  • +2

(profanity). Traded in two copies of Victor Vran the other day for 11 each figuring they wouldn't bother doing this deal for the next season of Fortnite. (profanity) (profanity) (profanity).

    • When was this? I asked them about VV trade-ins a few weeks ago for their Far Cry Pink deal and the value was only $8 or $9ea.

      • +1

I realized after the comment that it was including the EB 20% extra, so it must have been 9 and change normally.

Depending on the store / clerk though, they might run it through as being a 10 buck game and give you the V-Bucks, hit and miss based on past efforts for myself.

Neg from me. Got me excited for nothing. There were a few copies of this game at my local JB selling for $5 :(

          • -1

@first in line: Neg from me.

Still stand to make money on the game, and like I said, you'll likely have luck getting them to take it anyway with a L4 card, just try a couple times while the promotion is on.

            • +1

@TheDukeOfNukem: i think you just got lucky and traded it in before they dropped alot of the cheap titles to $4 with this epic clearance thing running at EB as i called EB and they cut the trade value for VV to a $1.50 or something now

i am now looking for titles that are old enough to be on discount elsewhere but haven't been dropped below the $10 trade in value needed at EB and from what i can find there is not much older stuff that meets the $10 trade in value now

looking for titles close to $10 to make the $29 division 2 deal worth it but its hard as can just get standard edition for $66 so unless i can get 2 titles for under $20 its not worth the hassle.

    • you realise they DO have a No Regrets policy in place right? so you can just buy them back today and (in a separate transaction) re-trade it. boom extra credit.

      • So…

        1. Trade in game (with $10+ value)
        2. Buy game back at said value (later in the day)
        3. ???
        4. Profit?

        If that’s the case….
        Mwa ha ha ha.

        • so it only works for games with trade value below $15 as anything above that ur basically paying for the $15 credit?

  • Mass effect andromeda is only $3 value

    • That's $3 too much

    • -1

Well yeah, it's been on clearance at a tonne of places for 5 bucks or so new, what do you expect?

  • For all the talk of EB going under, them doing this promotion…again, honestly gives me a bit of confidence that they're still doing alright.

    • EB need to switch from selling discs to online codes only.

If they keep insisting on discs they are gonna go the way of record stores…

      • +1

The opposite, EB make a ton of money off pre-owned. Pretty hard to sell an pre-owed online pass.

  • It's sad that almost the only way to use this is with the zero regrets policy. I don't want to be a douche and use that.

And I wont. But it pretty much makes this a non-deal.

  • I traded Spiderman, base price of $36 + $15 bonus credit + bonus credit for EB World. So got $56.40 in total.

  • I traded Madden 17 for $15 ($16.50 including my EB Games membership bonus credit).

Pretty sure I bought it for $15 a few months ago.

    • where did you buy it for $15, trying to find some cheap titles that trade in at least $10 for the division 2 $29 deal but having little luck finding anything cheap that still has decent trade in value.

      • I got it from Microsoft on EBAY a couple of months ago.

  • EB really needs to publish their "Buy" rates like CeX does.

    These games qualify ($10+ value);

    • Stardew Valley (PS4)
    • NBA 2K18 (Switch only)
    • Stardew Valley is $10 at Target I think

      • That is correct, however it's harder to find now.

        • i wonder if we can use the stardew vally $10 from target image to price match it at JB or even at EB

  • +1

I can confirm I just got nba2k18 for $5 from BIGW and turn it into $35 PSN Credit (EB LV3)

    • damn looks like WA is cleaned out of nba2k18 on switch, no stores near me have stock either bigw or EB games. doesn't even come up at JB hifi

  • The guy in my local said that the $15 extra is triggered as vbucks, not standard $ credit.

Was he dead wrong. I assume he was.

    • +1

Although the promotion says vbucks, there is no such thing as a vbucks card, it’s just a standard PSN/Xbox store card so it can be used for anything

  • Traded in Pure Farming 17 on the PS4. Value is over $10, can’t remember.

  • Can we get Nintendo eShop credit?

    • Nope, not this time.

      • Just managed to get eShop card. The only problem is my local EB requests all the amount including trade-in credit and $15 bonus go to vbucks…
