[VIC/NSW] 40% off 12 Meals for $57.48 ($4.79/Meal) @ Mealpal (Melbourne/Sydney)

110

In Sydney CBD they are giving away vouchers for 40% off Mealpal.
There were no conditions on the coupon, but clicking through the link shows it’s only 40% off the first month.

$4.79 per meal on 12 meal subscription
$4.49 per meal on 20 meal subscription

Not brilliant, but there’s hardly any mealpal deals posted, so might benefit someone if they are about to sign up.

  • would be nice if they tell us the restaurants participate in their program.

    • If you go to Mealpal.com and scroll down, there’s a map of restaurants

      • tried this, just takes me to the sign up page. Signed up with fake email, but then need to confirm a plan… still no maps of restaurants :/

Edit - Just refreshed the browser and the map is there now

      • in the front page, they gave us the restaurant name but i am not familiar .. would be nice if they put the address as well so we know and also the food they are offering.

    • is there a web link to the promotion?

  • The 20 meal option looks alright but last promo it was locked into 30day window, is this the same? The last time i used it wass 30 meals in 60 days i think which worked out perfect.

    • Both options are for use within the 30day window.
For me, 20 meals is a bit of a risk as I sometimes don't get to the office, so I have the 12 meal option and am happy with that. Plenty of options daily in Melb CBD, and the cost is certainly lower than if paying RRP.
When I've used my 12 meals, I can commence my next 30day window early if I want to.

    • Yeah it's 20 meals Monday to Friday (no weekends). I would exclude public holidays to be safe. In April, for example, with three public holidays that could be a stretch.

  • List of restaurants be nice… Are there any terms? Like min time you have to join up?

    • usually the promo lasts only until midnight. Just sign up with your email and they will send you new promos even if you miss out on this one. 40% off 1st month is pretty standard.

      • If you click on the second image above it states valid from Feb 1 - Feb 15.

    • +1

I've signed up after midnight on a midnight expiring promo. If you type "sales urgency" you'll see creating urgency is a standard practice for some companies. MealPal use this technique more than most.

  • Excellent, I recently used a similar deal. Amazing value and perfect timing for me as I am finishing uni semester and don't have time to cook! There are a series of dark UX steps to cancel, but it is possible to cancel straight away and still collect your first month of meals.

Link to the other deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/435453

  • just beware you need a phone number to activate the deal.

    • I've never had a text or call from them though
I think it is to limit the scammers

      • you get it from the phone app or website?

        • I use the website

          Mealpal send me emails for:
          - reminders to order
          - confirmation of order (need to reference to collect)
          - offers for referrals

  • The best deal I came across was 12 meals x 3 months for $99
    ($2.75/meal)

  • is there a web link for this promo?
