I've been using MealPal service in Sydney CBD for the last few months and 80% of the meals I've had were great. Comparable to lunch meals that cost $9-$15.

How it works: Each morning before 10am, you order a meal from restaurants in the city and then at lunch you pick it up at your selected time (100s of restaurants in the CBD - each restaurant offers 1 meal a day).

    you normally get charge at the end of cycle so another 30 days or so
    to cancel just follow the below instruction from mealpal https://www.mealpal.com/au/terms-and-conditions/

    f. Cancellation of Membership. You may terminate your membership at any time with 7 days’ notice by emailing [email protected]. Following any cancellation you will continue to have access to your membership through the end of the then current Membership Cycle and must, prior to the end of the then current Membership Cycle, pay us any amounts owing.

    Yes you can. That's what I did - signed up, cancelled the ongoing subscription straight away.

      Confirmed - I just cancelled and (after following a whole bunch of dark UX steps to actually complete the cancellation) the following messaged showed: "You are currently on the 12 MEAL LUNCH PLAN.
      You have 11 MORE MEALS left in your cycle that ends 28 FEB 2019
      Your account is set to cancel on 28 Feb 2019."

  Nice post OP. Mealpal has pretty good meals as you say, and this is about half regular Mealpal price.

  We used mealpal for Sydney, we also found it was valid in the US on our trip there. Worked the same way and got some nice lunches in Washington DC and New York.

    I think everyone gets an option for that, but 20 meals per calendar month is a meal every working day, that might not be healthy enough for everyone, depending on meals available.
