if you say "but muh shop has local warranty", chinese computer stores that have been around for ~12 months have less chance of being around in another 12 months than a major eBay seller would be anyway

each brand has different pricing strategy in different market, plus, Australia has a better compliance standard so it will involve extra cost.
@ozhappiness: Lol if you think companies make special devices just for the Australian market. What they do is make the product and submit it for approval. Whatever market is the hardest to get into is usually the way they make all their drpevices. And Australia usually just mimics larger economies, such as the USA when it comes to standards.
