Former Amstrad CPC 464 Colour Screen owner here. Many fond memory's of waiting for games to load, listening to the screeching tape deck and playing the occasional game.
I feel a little sad that seeing this got me so excited.
Goto youtube and find some game demos and enjoy the music.

Don't have to be a nerd to wanna read about business rivalry in the video game industry at the time, how expensive the licensing were and if you fail to get on the next big thing, you won't have enough capital to secure rights to the lucrative games let alone pay the many staff dependant on your success.
Mikie, Yie Ar Kung Fu, the list goes on :)
RoboCop
