Isn't this pretty much the standard price?

    • Actually seems on-par with good deals in the past, at least for the worst rooms.

    Flat Screen TV! No Way!

    • That was a big deal back in the CRT days.

      • +1

        I had flat screen CRT.

  • No specials from melbourne

  • Balcony room costs less that an OceanView room?

    • +2

Depends on room location. If available balcony room is towards rear of ship, and the oceanview is near the middle, then obviously there's more movement up and down at the ends of the ship.

  • +1

It's an okay price, but can be found quite regularly on last minute deals. Not bad for one where it is a fair way in advance.

Dumb question. Do you get sea sick on these ships?

    • +6

      Some people can, and will.
      Some people will die.
Some people will have the time of their life.

      Or all three.

      • My last cruise…

I got a little sea sick. 2 doors up a teenager died.

My kids had the times nof their lives.

        All 3!

    • Serious-ish answer. If you're prone to motion sickness, then probably. Eg. If you get queezy driving in a car around winding mountains, then you're likely to get a little bit nauseous until you get used to the motion of the ocean.

I've been on three cruises now, and in my experience, the first cruise, I was a bit unwell for about 4 hours on the first day. On my second cruise, I was only sick for about an hour on the first day. My third cruise, not sick at all.

It will only take one cruise to let you know if cruises are "your thing", but I think it's one of the cheapest and best ways to holiday.

      • cheap? staycation destroys cruises cost wise. but cheap compared to domestic travel? yea. now SEA, on the other hand…

    • only in very bad weather

  • P&O seem to have dropped a port on there 10 night cruises :(

  • Went on this ship last year, I loved it. And Vanuatu is fantastic

  • Departing on 11 mar 19 will bring price to 784

    • and add Noumea as a port of call

  • Do you need to apply for visas for Aussie passport holders?

    • No

  • Twin or quad share? Great deal if this is single (doubt it).

  • Are P&O ships better than Carnival family-wise?

    • No. But still pretty good.

  • Any brisbane deals>?????

  • -1

No Deal here unless they throw in credit or some kind for drinks package etc

    • +1

      There is $100 credit?
