    I met her in a club down in North Soho

    Looked through the reviews. I wouldn't trust the company. Lots of positive with no comments and one star negatives with detailed reviews.
    I'll let someone else be the crash test dummy for this one

      I've riden Ola plenty of times, what's wrong with them? About the same experience as Uber for me.

        • C'mon dude, 99% of those reviews are for overseas experiences. Absolutely does not reflect Australia.

          I mean like some guy recounting his trip to Mumbai…

          Also read drivers praising Uber, you really think drivers are going to go out of their way to praise Uber when they take 30% of fees compared to Didi/Ola 5%. You can bet Astroturfing would be rife on those sites given Uber's thuggery ways.

          • @plmko: Happy to be pointed to positive reviews… Maybe I'll give them one shot Friday night. I'll get back with my assessment

              @RevBargain: I've ridden ola every time the last about 10 rides, way better than Uber and significantly cheaper because they constantly have deals for existing users.

        No price advantage but seems really unreliable. If I want to wait around I'll use uber pool. https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2018/04/cheapest-ride-sharing-…

          Yeah, I only used it a couple of times for the first free ride as well as another free ride from referral, but I haven't gotten my referral code to work anymore for some reason.

    • I've tried Didi and Ola many times too and never had any problems with them. And surprise, they are Uber drivers too. They just switch apps and take the first booking they'll get. If there's anything faulty, it would be the app.

      I have used Ola in Melbourne for the last 5 months and have not had any bad experiences, nor was the ride any better or worse than a standard UberX, it is the same.

      I have found Ola to be cheaper than Uber (around $3 to $5 cheaper on a $25-$30 average ride) on all occasions whenever I can get a ride with Ola, and for the first few months I was given constant promo codes that made my ride less than $10, but now the promo codes are not appearing as frequent and becoming limited, although still cheaper than Uber.
      The drivers are the same as Uber, they just switch between apps like Uber & Didi.
      The downside to Ola is availability on peak times such as Friday/Saturday evening, where Uber has much more drivers available.

      I wouldn't bother with online reviews. People that had issues always complain, but the majority that don't have issues (like me) don't bother writing reviews, except this one :)

      Give it a go.

    • Cannot be worse than Didi! Those guys cancel a lot or force you to cancel after being stuck „6 minutes away” for 15 minutes. Then you need to send them emails for refunds, if it’s the latter.

      Experienced that multiple times in Melbourne.

    Uber > DiDi > Ola from an App UX perspective

    Uber > DiDi > Ola from a showup & realiable ride perspective

    Traditional Taxi > Apps when outside of the big cities and where your money goes…

    Uber = USA
    DiDi = China
    Ola = India
    Taxi = Australia

    Is this offer better than taking a referral code from an existing Ola user? I am keen to try Ola. I see couponchief has some pretty big claims eg $25 off first 10 rides in Australia…that surely can't be $250 qworth of credit!! https://www.couponchief.com/olacabs#coupon=7796949

    Edit: I registered via the app, entering one of the codes from couponchief, and it simply registered me. I have no idea if I actually got that credit in the end…

    • Same here anyone have a idea what's is better and horlw to do it?

  • Olacatch code invalid now

    • Yea, says "Invalid Code" when registering.
