      I have a Panasonic 42 inch plasma from 3 years ago and it's been brilliant, although it cost me $2k… $500 is crazy.

      They're great! We have an older version and haven't had any issues. The TV Guide that comes built-in on all TV's these days is far superior in the Panasonic's as opposed to, say, Samsung.

      The panel matters a lot too, but a 40-42" (screen lol) is a nice sweet spot in size for me pricewise.

    Gonna head down to a local store to pickup one of the 46" on sale. Will let you guys know on how they go, they seem fairly cheap and I've never heard of the brands before. So I'm expecting a YGWYPF situation here. But it is a nice upgrade for first-time HDTV from analogue.

    The last one, 24" Bush, went up from $238->$299. Time to close this deal?
