i get the feeling with these machines is that you should make your choices based on what pods suit you best (taste / price etc) and then get your machine to fit them…
Yeah it fits just the expresso pods only.
Kinda but i got one just in case i get thr feeling of having coffee.
12 Packs of Coffee
No, it's 6x12 pack. See similar posts here
Note the coffee machine is hot trash though apparently and you need to use these capsules with them (weak and overpriced).
I went with an Aldi Coffee Machine ($3.79/12 pods) and it actually tastes alright!!
But thought i might just give it a try and its not a bad deal though.
Capsules have come down in price thankfully. Was originally around $9, now $7.
I for one like my coffees strong so when I heard all the negative press I didn't go for it.
OP - would be nice to know how much the pods cost…
Edit: $5.60 each X 6 = $33.60 ??
Those pods aren't eligible for the promotion. They have to be from the Vittoria range.
Yeah just saw that. Cheapest is $7 so $42 for machine and 72 pods
Also there's a $4 for 10 pods which is a much better buy for refills after the initial pods.
@pennypincher98: Yeah better deal isnt it??
@vaska124: In the long run Aldi coffee machine is one of the cheapest (if not the cheapest) to run. It also has the benefit of actually tasting like coffee.
The pod costs around 8-10$ depending on the taste u prefer and they pretty much go on sale mostly on coles Woolworths like 20% off to even half price. So its not that bad.
I got this months ago. Ended up returning the pods and gave the machine away, as the pods are too light - I had to have two pods at a time.
have anyone try to hack this machine with the aldi pod?
problem is that these capsules are designed around the European 8gm single shot coffee ….in Australia we have stronger coffee and many cafes use more than 8gms of coffee per cup, eg double shot in flat whites, etc which might be why Australian style cafes are popular in the usa, it's not technique, just amount of coffee used.
My Sunbeam em7000 takes 22 grams in the basket ….that's close to 3 std pods for a mug of coffee.
the nespresso virtuo has larger capsules and some contain 2-3 times the amount of coffee that is in a std capsule.
std pods are ok for short black drinkers, but not if you drink mugs of coffee or like strong coffees as milky drink.
Is it anything like VITTORIA coffee?
How much does the required amount of packs cost?
Is this like the razor blade thing where it ends up being cheaper just to buy a new razor?
