That's pretty cheap. Good for apartments or offices.

    • +3

Yes, get to your local bunnings right now, will only cost you $2 in petrol and an hour of your time.

      • an hour of your time.

        local bunnings

Doesn’t sound very local to me.

There is one more if any one after 720 Tips for $7.50

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/deck-the-halls-180cm-green-720-t…

    • You could buy 7 of these for that price.

      • +5

        That's 3,500 tips.

Based on tips-per-dollar you'd be far better off duct taping 7 of these trees into a single tree.

        • Exactly.

    • Actually saw this one in my local, thought it looks pretty cheap and nasty thinking it was the 500 tip one, nope it was the 720, the 500 tip one must be really bad!

  • Ah man…I could’ve got two for that price. Bought earlier this week.

    New landfill

  • Online says in stock at Mascot but went there yesterday and in-store they said sold out.

    • Bunnings online stock level is worthless.

They even suggest you phone ahead to check availability.

Ive got to tell the kids that i buy gifts for that christmas is in January

Im going to save so much money

    • +1

Make your kids convert to Coptic Orthodox, Christmas is January 7.

      • or tell them you don't celebrate Christmas … save even more money :P

    • +1

What are the chances your kids might want a Christmas tree as their gift? You're welcome.

    • Or you could buy them 90cm chrustmas trees for Christmas.

  • Wish these trees would stack on top of each other.
That way 4 bucks would get a huge 🌲

That way 4 bucks would get a huge 🌲

      Huge wood?

      • Wood?! hahaha good luck finding any!

    • string :D

    • But then youd need to buy a ladder big enough to assemble it

      Thus negating any savings

      • +1

Some OzBargainers have everything they need already, via OzBargain.

        Ladder
Stud finder to check for electricial wiring etc
Electric drill to make a hole in the ceiling
        Screw to go in ceiling
String to hang trees from screw, so it looks like one above the other

Then step back and realize docians was kidding because this looks horrible :D

      • just assemble it flat on floor then tilt it up

        Thus negating any savings

If you live on a multilevel apartment building …
Start at ground level, when starts to get too high to reach, ask 1st floor neigbor to assist, when gets to high to reach from 1st floor, ask 2nd floor neigbor for a hand, continue up until the 12th floor .
Thank each neighbor with a christmas card :)
Total cost, $1 or $2 for a cheap pack of 12 Christmas cards .

  • +1

I'm disturbed by how the branches on the top third don't match the branches on the bottom two-thirds.

  • It's a buck. Take it or leave it. Even the packaging costs more than that.

  • +2

Sweet, now my cat has his own tree to destroy. Also wrapped the empty box and stuck it under it for him too, gets his own Christmas Catmas

    • +2

Buy a few, film the different destructions, post to Youtube … maybe it'll pay for the trees :P

  • Dammit, bought mine at Kmart 490 tips for $19 :(

    • I went Kmart last Sunday. Seems all the xmas trees are at least 50% off. The one we liked was last one on display. We thought it will at least half price as well (original $79). Then the manager said gave us special price $65!!!!!! What? So we didn't buy.

Thanks ozbargain! Got $7.50 one at bunnings this morning.

      • So the $7.50 bunnings one looked like the one from Kmart $79?

  • Christmas presents sorted! Everyone is getting Christmas trees!

    • Yes. That's a great price to have one!

  • +2

The small trees are good for lolly trees. I hang the Cadbury/mars/nestle share chocolates, candy canes chuppa chups on these trees and the grandkids love it.

  • +1

buy the lot and sell it next year

  • Nerang Bunnings completely out of stock of xmas trees (just been in there).

  • Any cheap decorations to go with this tree?

    • tree on a tree

Seriously, Reject Shop usually has little decorations that you could stick on it (eg packs of wine glass charms and more than will double as decorations)

  • +3

if you stuck these in a row do you think they can make it for a hedge?

  • thanks op.. going to sus it out now
