I've always wanted a nail gun, I got no use for one but I've always wanted one.

    • Do you want an air powered, gas+battery powered, Battery+flywheel powered or Battery+air powered nail gun?

  • Can any air compressor run this or needs to be over a certain hp/kw?

    • The combo kit compressor which obviously works well with it "comes complete with a 6-gallon 150 max PSI air compressor that delivers 2.8 CFM at 90 PSI".

Depends on how fast you want to nail. As long as it can get to Pressure Range: 70-120psi (for this one).
If you run at 120psi and keep using it fast, and your compressor can't keep up and drops to 70psi while using it, the depth of the nail going in might change. It doesn't use a lot of air, most cheap bunnings compressors can do the job.

From manual, If 3 of these nailers are doing 30 nails per minute @ 100psi you need 2.7 CFM (78.8 ltr/min) to keep up.
      so 1 would need 0.9 CFM or 26.266 ltr/min

  • Hitachi are really youn upping their game on their sex toys

    • Instructions unclear, please elaborate

  • What's people's thoughts on this compressor with the nailer?

Total noob here with air tools, just little diy projects here and there

    Or decent affordable alternatives?

    • No way. Those are for inflating bike tyres and sportsballs. (And car tyres in a pinch, slowly.)
Get a cheapy 20L air compressor from SuperCheap next time they're on special.
