  • you should list all the games for each bundle in the posting

already doing that. one more to go.

Good bundle but terrible games, come on BIGW

    • +1

      In your opinion.
In mine, Forza Horizon 4 is fantastic and beautiful in 4K HDR.

    • why is the bundle good but the games terrible
are u saying the actual price of the bundle?

Some of the games are classic just quite old so probably worth a lot less

What games would you have preferred to get with the bundle?

      • +3

People are greedy. The only bundle that can stop people complaining about the included games:

        XBox One X + Red Dead Redemption 2 + AC: Odyssey + Battlefield V + Forza Horizon 4 + FIFA 19 for $476.10.

However, if you don't get the Battlefield V bundle, all the other bundles simply have Forza Horizon 4 + other games which are quite difficult to sell (too old, in low demand, most of them are in GamePass). Even Forza Horizon 4 is in GamePass as well. There seems to be people happy to buy FH4. For me, after playing 4 seasons once, I got tired of it (some houses are way too expensive, and still need to use credits to buy cars in car packs, some of the seasonal quests were annoying - involved driving a classic (i.e. really slow) car to gather CRs - boring).

        • you forgot to mention a preorder copy of the next call of duty, The division 2 and Anthem :P

          • +1

@Mooncakes: I thought about them briefly, but we (OZBers) are greedy, we want to sell the games now to lower the overall console price. Otherwise, we would want those games you mentioned + Gears 5 + Halo Infinity + GTA 6 + Devil May Cry 5 (pre-order versions with all the pre-order goodies of course).

Wait, there is more: we want an extra controller as well.

        • is this an actual bundle or just your dream bundle?

          XBox One X + Red Dead Redemption 2 + AC: Odyssey + Battlefield V + Forza Horizon 4 + FIFA 19 for $476.10.

I would take out the battlefield V or fifa 19 and put GTAV since that is a all time classic game.

          • +1

@pinkybrain: It is the 2018 Santa Claus bundle. You need to be good so Santa will offer it to you.

Um, it is not my dream bundle because I already played majority of the games in the bundle I mentioned (no point having another XB1X or another copy of those games).

      • Well for instance, i dont agree with having 2 forza games and 2 halo games in ONE bundle. Getting this bundle for someone thats new to gaming i would of preferred to have a better variety of games, instead why is the person going to play one forza over another? Or one halo over another? Don't have to include all the newly released AAA games like RDR2 Blops etc, but include some god damn variety, 66% of the bundle is shooting. In my opinion

        • I don't mind having all the halo games (especially the masterchief collection, which is a good value for noobies)
the forza, they should just put that latest or best one
Gears of war is also a great a game (though for better value, they could have put the collection version)

The reason why they gave this bundle is probably to do with getting the licensing rights very cheap to bundle with the console..
and still sell at this price.

If they included the latest just released games etc, then the price would be much more expensive
or they couldn't get the licensing rights..

What alternative games would you have picked
for the halo and forza game, if you had to replace 2 games for another 2 of those games?

          • @pinkybrain: Those games are from Microsoft. With limited first party exclusives, Microsoft don't exactly have that many options. Currently, EA kinda is willing to come to the party (hence Battlefield V). If you also factored in that all the decent classic ones included are already in GamePass, it is a no-brainer why Microsoft is including them.

Problem is, those classic games are not worth much nowadays (don't get me wrong, I actually own Gears 4 (which has Gears 1-3) and Halo 5 + MCC). Also, if you exploit the $1 / month GamePass currently twice + the included voucher + the extra 1 month for keeping auto-renew on, you could end up with 4 months of GamePass for $2. 4 months should be enough to play those games on GamePass. Despite owning Gear 4 (which comes with Gears 1-3), I still played Gears Ultimate (Gears 1 remake) on GamePass over Gears 1 XB360 back compat.

It's simply Microsoft throwing whatever they have into the bundle, rather than a really competitive bundle.

            • @netsurfer: yeah but like you said
those are Microsoft exclusives games so it probably cost them peanuts to throw in

I don't know what other competitive bundle they can do..
since they would need to get licensing rights for third party games

I think people who are just into gaming and getting the console for the first time
don't really care what the games are worth as long as they are great games to play…

A game could be worth more than those games
but if the gameplay is shit then what's the point of including it?
I rather get a good game that I can play for the first time with my new console
than something worth more, but I would lose interest in playing..

Do you have the link for the gamepass exploit deal
and explain further how I do I go about doing this exploit properly?

              • +1

@pinkybrain: The best way to maximise GamePass currently:

                1. Purchase the $1/month GamePass deal now (using an account that must not have an active GamePass subscription).
                2. In about 1 month time (the GamePass expires), get the $1 / month again. If MS doesn't let you do it on the same account, create a new account to get the $1 / month deal again (the deal expires early Jan so your second $1 must be purchased before then).
                3. (After the second $1 GamePass subscription expires) XBox one X comes with a 1 month GamePass voucher. However, that voucher can only be redeemed on an account that never had GamePass previously (so create a new account if you have to). Ensure Microsoft offer you the bonus 1 month for keeping auto-renew on before you complete the redemption. You might have to redeem it on your console for that option to appear. Immediately login (through a Web browser on a PC/laptop) to cancel the auto-renew.

GamePass can be shared across accounts on the same console. I am currently on the $1/month deal on my second account. I still play using my main account. You do have to login to the second account (the account that actually has active GamePass) to download any new games added to GamePass not yet on your console.

Personally, I would save step 3 until a new game or games I really like is/are available on GamePass next year. Only step 1 and 2 are time limited. There is no real advantage keeping active GamePass constantly (since Microsoft decide which games are there, they can remove games and having active subscription after they remove them means nothing - you will not be able to play them).

Sucks to not even have a 4k tv yet.

  • Why no RDR bundles anymore

    • Probably because the game is selling fine as is.

      • The bundles sold in AU so far were probably standard bundles (like these) + RDR2 game (included by the retailer through their RDR2 pre-order promotion).
      • RDR2 online is pretty much ready to go (Ultimate edition owners get to try it first, followed by people played it on launch day, followed by people who played it in the first week, then everyone else). Even less incentive for retailers to discount the game.
      • The potential to cross sale by not including it (i.e. chances of a new XB1X owner buying RDR2 is high - good profit).
  • I bought the bundle from EB games about a week ago for nearly $100 more, and that was already discounted. Lol can I ask them to refund me a bit?

    • Yes, you can ask.

Jokes aside. Do it a.s.a.p. About a week, is it less than 7 days or more than 7 days? Are you an EB World member?

      • No, I'm not a member. I got it last wednesday. so exactly a week.

        • eBay purchase? Anyway, call EB a.s.a.p. Their policy for return / refund is 7 days.

          • @netsurfer: Nah I went to the store, and asked to get it on afterpay, they told me to buy it using my phone, so i did, then collected it a minute later.

  • +1

Does EB pull hardware off ebay when 20% discount is coming around?

If so, can you buy the night before then pay next day with the code?

Why? Because 10% is a bit meh. Need 15%+5% gift cards, or 20%.
