How do they compare with the Bose SoundSport Wireless Headphones - the ones from the deal the other day? (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/419804)
Do you think they are worth the extra $40?Apples and oranges, these are truly wireless without the band.
So, are they better in terms of use though? Or are they similar in terms of sound quality / ease of use?
Wondering if I can cancel my Newegg order and get these instead…if you plan to buy this one, I can buy the newegg one off you.
Note: Could not send PM to you.@raj koothrappali: Thanks for letting me know! Just spent a while on amazon and think I'll stick with the wired connected ones (the new egg order). Apparently the left ear on the the truly wireless ones drops out a lot and there is a bit of lag. Not sure I'll risk them, but if I change my mind I'll PM / let you know asap.
@raj koothrappali: Sorry just seen this, both thought alike, you got in first though haha
@yacman: No worries! Haha, I deliberated too long and they are sold out on Amazon already anyway. But I think I had already decided to stick with the original Soundsport in the end.
How does it compare to Jabra Elite 65t? Perhaps this is more apples and apples.
I think that model still available for $199ish.These prices really tempting, however the signals dropping really bothered me.
Bose has better sound quality but worse anything else
@troydealshunter: bose has bluetooth 4.2, jabra 5.0
enough said. nothing to compare here@CyberMurning: Comfort? Stability? Sound quality? Call quality? Noise isolation? Ease of use of controls? Really, nothing to compare?
@troydealshunter: what are the anything else?
I know they like to drop out, but that's all.
I know Sony's also drops out. But not sure if the Jabra drops out. Also Bose can't be used separately, must have both on, unlike Apple for example.
@[Deactivated]: I have a Jabra Elite 65t,
- Drop out between the two ear pieces, they have but very rare, maybe one or two times since i owned it in early October. (mostly the left one)
- Drop from the device, it also depends on the device, my aquos S2 drops more frequently, but the Sony A45 keeps a stable connection.
- You can use the right ear piece alone, it is the main one, but not the case for the left piece.
- Have Hear through mode, which amplified surround sound and allow you to make the conversation with both ear peices on.
- Sound quality, even with bass-boost mode the bass is thin, but i don't ask for more with a pair of single 6mm dynamic drivers.
- They can detect when you take the ear pieces out of your ear, then pause the music. Again it is depend on the device so that they can resume the music when you put them back on.
- The button control: only problem is the volume down on left earpiece, it will create a noise cause by the amount of 'enough' force to push the button.@JinK: I got the Jabra Elite with the MasterCard Debit deal (@$179) too and when I use them in a call via laptop, colleagues have said they hear static before/after I talk.
Do you get this too? Or do you have a solution? ;o pls halp.
@chibichip: Sorry, i haven't used it with the lappy yet, would check it later.
@JinK: I think these things aren't refined yet, I'll wait a few more iterations before buying one.
Although I heard apple's airpods is a champ.
I would be interested in buying the normal sound sports off you if want to get these, also based in melbourne
Does this headphone have an audio delay lag (about 0.5 seconds) which can be a deal breaker when watching video content?
yes
I think all has lag, except Apple airpods.
@[Deactivated]: Uhm my Jabra Elite65t have no lag, try with some youtube clips, and clips in my phone
@JinK: Reports said they are. Maybe only on iPhone they are not?
@[Deactivated]: No i use it on my android. if play through chrome, there is a little bit delay, but in youtube app or play offline clips on internal/SDcard, it is ok.
note: i updated my pieces's firmware once, since i got it.
@JinK: Can confirm. No issues with my pron.
These ones has less range than that wired version.
You guys should try it at a store before thinking of buying it. It makes those with small ears looks like a chimp
Yeah that is the only downside. Sticks out a bit too much.
Otherwise for this price it’s great!
Nothing (similar) beats itTake comfort in the fact that those with big ears don't look pretty even without these
Beware of lag in videos for iPhone users
Some good deals on Android phones ATM
Haha yeah, true
damn out of stock as i was adding it to the cart
Do these fit underneath a helmet when snowboarding? Thinking of getting a pair of wireless earphones for the mountain
Probably not. They stick out like a mofo.
I finally talked myself out of buying this and today with the discount and 11%?
is this a sign?it's sold out, no sign.
Haha im definitely not buying now
Unless….
Sold out already? :(
Oh well, you snooze, you lose…
actually in this case, you snooze and you win.

Hesitated a bit then all gone. Money saved…
Well. I watched the review of this and found it looks very big on your ear. Anyway, money saved. lol

Just noticed the price on these dropped, might be worth checking out.
After reading the reviews I have cancelled my order.. so 1 item is back in stock if anyone is interested
What's amazons return policy on used items? I want to try them out to see the issues for myself before returning them if not happy.
Great price! If anyone got a screenshot for the price, can you please share it?
Snap! Missed this deal. Bought these on Friday for 191.
No way~~~. I bought this from Qantas store last month but this price is unbeatable..
