Is this worth signing up to club jetstar, even for just one return flight? I'm from Sydney so is the Sydney discount going to be just as good?

    • IMO it is worth it. You get a 30-40 voucher each year included, so true cost it lower than advertised

      • So if i sign up now I would get a voucher, referee $20 voucher and I can use this deal?

        • Voucher? I've never received one of these.

  • For the example given (Perth - Bali) and other international flights it's always better to wait for an AirAsia sale to then use JetStar price beat. Not only will they beat it by 10%, you also get a free choice of which of the 3 daily flights you want to be on. Usually the good times aren't available at the lowest fares ever.

Have you done this before because I have read the conditions to the price beat and the flight has to be to and from the same place, within (I think) 3 hours of each other (departure time) and only one way. Airasias Bali flights go to kuala lumpur first then to Bali. I just presumed they made it difficult to price match airasia and scoot on purpose because they are often cheaper to a lot of places

Yes, I've done it several times in the last few years, last just a couple of weeks ago when AirAsia had their big sale. Quick and painless. Fill in the online form for price beat and usually within a few minutes they send a confirmation email with payment link.

International between Australia and Asia they match any flights on the same day. From the conditions:

within the same calendar day if they’re international flights (excluding flights within Asia and flights between Australia and New Zealand).

From Perth AirAsia fly directly to Bali 2 or 3 times a day. Other cities might be different.

The only thing they claw back a bit of cash with is: they match 2 one-way flights, not a return flight. That matters because flights from Bali to Perth are always a little more expensive booked as one-way compared to booked as a return leg in conjunction with a Perth-Bali flight. That means you're not getting the full 10% off in the end. Still ends up cheaper than AirAsia and much more important for me: I get the flight time I like in order to have easy public transport from and to the airport. Good enough for me.

        • But anywhere else other than perth flights to Bali have a stopover in Kuala Lumpur and it's cheaper to fly stopover to kl than it is to perth
