I am with Mungi NBN 50 and seriously, this is the first I am hearing about all this "voluntary administration" business. Shambolic….

I would be moving to Aussie Broadband asap so you can get over before your service is cut off. Aussie are really the only decent provider.

      • Thanks but that's the thing. I don't even know when my services is going to get cut off. They've not reached out to me to inform me of anything. Can't believe this is how customers are getting treated. These guys are a joke…

If you don't move immediately you could lose your NBN service as early as tonight going by others that have gone into administration like TeleCube.

I would get in front of the hordes and call Aussie now and ask if they can expedite this.

Once you're disconnected it can take days or weeks to get reconnected.

          None of us were contacted.
I just came on Oz bargain yesterday and saw some NBN deals with Tangerine, that's how I found out Mungi was gone.
Signed up to ABB and was activated in 15 mins.

@tencents: Same here - signed up last night and service was ready in 30 mins ;)

      • I have gone to their website. Other than the fact they have gone into voluntary administration, it doesn't say anything else!!!

give you one month free if you sign up to a 1 year contract and two months free if you sign up to a two year contract for either Fixed Line or Fixed Wireless.

Prices identical to Aussie BB who don't have plans.

Not worth the free month to commit to a contract.

    • not to mention no mention about their contention ratios

    • See, that is the thing. They offer cheap prices but it is not sustainable. They match someone like ABB and are panned for it.

ABB are loss leading with their specials and that is their right but to demand everyone else match that I think is wrong.

I think it is good we have new ISP's with fair and sustainable pricing, offering a discounts for 12 month etc

I will give the a + and hope they do well in a difficult space. And no, I am not associated with them, never heard of them until now.

      • I will give the a + and hope they do well in a difficult space. And no, I am not associated with them, never heard of them until now.

Why would you give them a + when you don't know anything about their network or who they are or what they are about?

ABB are loss leading with their specials and that is their right but to demand everyone else match that I think is wrong.

How? They might not be making much money from them but I can't see them loss leading when you compare them against some of the others. Aussie are the only ones to offer a top quality service for a reasonable price on an ongoing basis.

        • "Aussie are the only ones to offer a top quality service for a reasonable price on an ongoing basis."

That is a very big statement. So what evidence do you have that IPStar don't offer a quality service? I think there are any number of ISP's who offer good value and good service other than Aussie.

Name another ISP in Australia that has a stop sell system? None, Aussie are the only ISP that do not sell services to maintain quality internet for their other customers until that POI back-haul is upgraded.

AussieBroadband is the most transparent ISP in Australia, how many others provide so much information on their backhaul/CVC upgrades for example? What about their CVC graphs?

What over ISP offers Australian based support along with all of the above for a reasonable price with good performance? What other ISP offers all of this with sustainability?

What evidence do you have that IPStar does offer a quality service? None. How about those other ISPs that offer a service the same as Aussies? None?

Use the deal above guys, highly recommended

  • Exetel does 50/20 Unlimited for $60/month, with no activation fees. Not much of a bargain.

With Buzz Telco, Telcube and now Mungi going down the crapper why would anybody take a chance on some 2-bit operation. Choose a major player.

I've never heard of ipStar and I'm a Whirlpool addict.
