    have to state the obvious: xb1/ps4 are better game console and Shield TV is the best media player but a poor game streamer.

    The big question what do you want more? If you want Ultra-HD Blu-ray functionality, you are going the Xbox One S. If you would rather have a media player with access to Kodi, Plex and have the ability to do HDR and 4k, Nvidia Shield TV is the way to go.
