you got my hopes up =( lol
=X sorry…
awesome deal though ^6^
How long 'til the coupon expires?
13 hour 33 min
No, not the offer. To rephrase, how long have I got to use the coupon/deal/offer?
They have diving coupons regularly. Don;t worry about missing out. Check their history - at least every couple months there's another one.
why is that a reason to neg?
Seems a good deal, also see here for more details RE: scheduling of courses: http://3.ly/EnZy
It's worth reading the relevant discussion in what seems to be last years equivalent deal here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39582

Be vary wary about this deal. These guys go by elazmo or sydney underwater. They are constantly doing these deals and the problem is that they actually don't have capacity to deal with all the people signing up. So be prepared to wait months before you get to go into the water. Also their booking system is terrible (or they do it deliberately) and on the day twice as many people show up and it's a fight for BCDs. If you have the patience and don't get easily angered this is a good deal and once you're in the water it's a lot of fun.
As with all things Scoopon, there's always a Catch involved…
I've had a couple of friends who have done this without any major dramas (apparently they ran out of wetsuits and had to squeeze some XL guy into a M or something but that was it).
I'm in no rush to get my license so happy to wait, and its a real shame there aren't any deals like this in Brisbane. Cheapest I've seen the Padi Open Water is about $500 (The UQ dive school were doing it for cheap once, but as they consistently brushed me off or ignored me I got the impression they are not very welcoming to outsiders)
fingers crossed… =(
Elazmo are terrible, I do not recommend.
Long story short, I was told I could have a refund on my coupon because of bad health concerns (I know the coupons always say no refunds, but I called and they said no probs we can refund) and they have ignored me for 2 months since. $340 down the drain because they wouldn't respond to me and my vouchers lapsed…wow that was bad =X i hope i won't face similar prob…
I would say this, from the same people, is a better offer?
http://sydneyunderworld.com.au/Special_Dive_Deals!.phpFunny, when you search for Aquatec stuff to see the "real" value of the supposedly hundreds of dollars of gear you get with this "deal", nearly all the results are for packages from this mob. Very dubious.
I'm no expert on gear but it is pretty good quality stuff. Not your $2 special snorkels. Note different offers get different gear. Make sure you get the boots!! They are definitely worth it especially on a shore dive as walking barefoot over rocks with barnacles is no fun. In fact, the gear is probably the best thing I got out of this offer.
@Adante,
My mate had to wear a large BCD when he's a small and he couldn't get it to deflate properly so for him it was quite an issue. Also on the day we had to wait 3 hrs before we went in due to overbooking. I considered myself lucky though because there was a group of about 6 who waited the 3 hrs and were told sorry no more dives today. They were rightfully pissed off.
which state? Redirects to perth one for me
