This is no ordinary Christmas decoration. This is the Naughty or Nice Bauble. And like the name suggests, it lets you and your family know whether you're on Santa's Naughty or Nice list. Using a little tech and some Christmas magic from the North Pole, the bauble glows green if you've been good and red if you've been, well, not so good.

Download the Myer Bauble app and bring the magic to life.

• Bauble goes to sleep mode after 5 mins.
• Batteries not included.
• Requires 3 x AAA.
• Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts.

How much is it normally ?

    Why is it a bargain?

    • its not

  • Love this idea, but not really a bargain :(

    Sorry, I don't think this is either a bargain or a nice-to-have.
A bauble that changes colours (but only two), needs 3 AAA batteries (not included), and costs $20 for something you would probably use once.

Better off getting a Xiaomi Yeelight

      • But how would you get the Yeelight to change colour as individuals walk nearby (to signify the good / bad)?

Oh, and the Bauble needs an App, which probably requires access to your location, voice, camera, etc.

But how would you get the Yeelight to change colour as individuals walk nearby

There's probably an app for that.

Actually, I'm downvoting the deal as:

          • the colour change on the Bauble is solely controlled (manually) via the mandatory App. No automation, no 'sensing' if good or bad.

          • the mandatory App has access to location, phone status and identity, read / modify / delete contents of USB storage, receive data from internet, view network connections, full network access, run at startup, draw over other apps, control vibration, and prevent device from sleeping.

So, in my view, what looks like a harmless bauble is actually pretty sinister. Myer has ruined Christmas!

@GG57: This is why Myer are so crap, their buyers think these are a good idea and will be a big seller.

  • This is truly the most useless thing I've seen in a long time. It's a traffic light without the amber controlled by a smart phone, they could have put in some smarts to the app to work out good or bad but that would require Myer to have some smarts.

I'm negging this deal as the app is useless and as pointed out requires too many permissions, it has no purpose at all, it's utterly useless and will be on sale for 50c after Christmas.

There are other lights controlled by apps that can be used all year round and area not that much more expensive.

If these were USB chargable, could be linked together to flash in time with music or had other applications they might be a deal but as they stand they are rubbish.

    • it's utterly useless

You can use it to prank kids and save on Xmas gifts…

SPOILER ALERT: Santa doesn't care if you're naughty or nice.

    • Of course he does.

    • Santa doesn't care if you're naughty or nice.

You are obviously going to the wrong Xmas parties…

  • It costs $19.95 + 3x AAA batteries + a smartphone + a Christmas tree = a bauble with an LED in it.

You can get something just as good from Aliexpress for a couple of dollars (although you probably won't get them before Christmas): https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-led-baubles.html

Heck, for the same price, you can get a 2 pack of LED baubles from EB games of all places - and the batteries ARE included!: https://ebgames.com.au/loot-221208-The-Legend-of-Zelda---LED…

  • Don't see any savings on this; not a bargain

    Edit: My first neg!

  • Not a bargain, will be in the bin within hours if bought. Best bargain is to not buy this, even if it’s 75%, still not a bargain.
