  • Not if i can call them portable
i have these http://dicksmith.com.au/product/C7290/moshi-bass-burger-blac…, similar to the x-minis and they are fantastic for their size

    • I have one of those too issh although it is a different brand it looks exactly the same. It still works good after about a year of using it every day. I got mine for about $15 from china (ebay) free postage.

I doubt the DK25 would be much louder since it only has RMS 2W+2W. It looks a lot larger though.

      • yeah those are nice

got mine for free(after a broken TDK earphone)
        it's good as

my friend has on of those from china-replica ones(he got for $30, i LOL hard out, DX/ebay is way cheaper)
and there definitely a high clarity difference

but i got to say, the speakers are wonderful for its size

    • Same speaker, $11:

        • +1

          just go to speakers

          and find the $11 ones

i want some x-minis, expensive though,
moshi bassburger is creating some new ones coming out this year

  • under what claims is this the loudest, clearest portable mp3 player?

  • Loudest, Clearest

sounds unlikely…..however, it certainly isn't the prettiest!

    Nokia Battery

They couldn't be bothered to manufacture proprietary batteries for this so they used Nokia batteries instead? LOL.
Pure genius. It looks like something that fell off a Shenzhen truck.

    • lol that's epic

    • +2

There are lots of devices made which use Nokia batteries.

It is a good idea if you have a desktop nokia battery charger as it makes charging the battery easy and also means when the battery in the device starts to degrade it is easy to replace it.

If they made their own proprietary batteries then it would be much harder (impossible) for you to find a new battery for your non branded Chinese device.

4Watts from a 2.5watt power source it must be invented by wizards

  • Time to compare apples with apples, readers.

Firstly, how can anyone compare a single speaker such as the DiVoom iTour-10 Mobile Speaker or X-Mini to the DK25 ?

The DK25 is an MP3 player with remote control and doubles up as a dual speaker through its line input. It has 2 speakers, not one.

It is portable and runs for around 3 hours when charged for 2-3 hours from a standard USB port, or using a Nokia mobile phone charger.

The DK25 is definitely louder and clearer than anything we have ever seen of this size on the market - the speakers demonstrate incredibly high quality sound (with deep cones) - this is difficult to explain in words on this site. • Probably because no one gives a toss about mps players anymore therefore this is just a speaker for most people.

As a speaker its not really that portable, its ugly so its not really winning so far, i have heard and seen these in action and still prefer my X-mini
