    Snapdragon 430 I tnink

Its sd 430 no deal. Spend a bit more to get Nokia 8!

  • +9

Think this is the original 6. I.e. with SD 430, not 630. Big difference.

yeah ….nokia could do a bit better in their numbering system to stop confusion as models are upgraded.

      • +2

The numbering system indicates where in the range the phone sits and price point. It appears that newer models are using second number (e.g. 7.1) to indicate a new model. The plus modifier is used to indicate similar phone with slightly better features.

Of course trying to work out best bang for buck is a mess because is a phone with Snapdragon 821 (July 2016) going to be faster or slower than 710 (May 2018) and for which use cases? Which has better battery life?

        • The whole android mode number structure is mighty confusing.

I think largely because consumers just switch off to it. They buy the latest galaxy phone.

This is the worst phone I've ever had.

    It's so slow.

    • For this price it's in the league with generic prepaid phones, which are truly rubbish. If you're in need of a budget phone, I'd say for the price it's a decent buy.

Your sentiment IS correct however! This is a SLOW phone! It'll take calls and do some basic Web and maps, but it won't be the nicest experience on the planet.

    • Makes no difference when driving in traffic only going 40kph in the mornings and evenings….

    B28, NFC, headphones jack, though!

how stupid how these entry level phones have it.. yet flagship do not!!

If you can afford $1000+ plus for a phone, then you should be able to afford a bluetooth headset. ;-)

        • +2

And be made to pay for things like 3.5mm dongle adaptor and fast charger.

  • +2

You get what you pay for.

I am using this phone for over 11months paid 330$.

Update from August, made phone unusable but got it fixed under warranty. Please note, nokia repair centre is Sydney, I bought from Harvey Norman so realty with them.

About phone it's slow and camera is ok, does the job that's it.

If you don't need NFC then consider moto g6 play which was on sale for around 236$ recently.

Having said all above, at this price point one should not expect more from this phone.

'Dual speakers, Dolby Atmos sound enhancement'

Lol marketing people are so full of shit

    • Yet people continue to jump at silly things we make up.

Wish the Nokia 7 plus was on sale…

Could have done with a better processor and less ram and probably still would have been better off

  • I think all the HMD Nokia phones in the first year
(last year)released were overpriced and a rip off of what they were.
This year with the 7 plus and 6.1 they are better

    • +1

Android One with it's fast updates make them very good value.
My Nokia 7+ upgraded to Android Pie on the weekend :-).

      • like I said above
        this years models are better
Releasing the Nokia 6 for $400
with those specs it was a rip off
