    Any bargains?

love their slow juicers. Anyone have any opinion on their Vacuum sealers? nothing on the web!

    • MMmmm, if only 50% off on their juicer and I'd be in like Flynn on one of them!

  • Do you get the actual water tank? Hard to tell but I can't see it when viewing on my phone.

    • From the images I'd say you supply a suitably sized pot - similar to the Anova

Obvious question is how does this compare to the Anovo? Notwithstanding this also has a sealer included, the real money is for the sous vide part itself

  • Any comments on AIO Vacuum Sealer VP-7000 ?

    • I got a cheapie from Target last year & it's still going fine.

they're all fairly simple (sucking & then heating/sealing). SO I'mnot sure what the more expensive ones are supposed to do better then the cheapies.

Having said that, for sous vide, I mostly just use ziplock bags & a straw. CHeap, Simple & effective.

        • the immersion method works well too, but I find it's not so great for uneven shaped things like chicken wings (except if it that have a liquid marinade), chops, etc or if the bag is big and/or the meat isn't heavy.

      • Got the Target one earlier this year. It never really produced a strong vacuum, and the bags would always have air pockets, especially for any meats that aren't simply flat. It's now broken to the point where it has barely any suction and I've just stopped using it.

Anyone have a review for this sealer?

I took a gamble. Did some further research- Kuvings are manufactured in SK. So figured this product would probably be from SK somewhere, asked Wifey, who is South Korean to do a little background research (they use different search engines/ blog sites) so this AIO used to be called "Pack Plus" however since rebranded to AIO. They've also released a couple newer models (actual RRP is cheaper than the above listed on the newer models)

Appear to be good reviews, nothing outstanding but nothing bad. I ended up purchasing based on the super cheap vacuum bags/ and rolls. Starting with a smaller initial outlay, fingers crossed it lasts me at least a couple years. I did buy 2 vacuum sealers, and about 30 rolls of bags and a few vacuum containers. $300 all up with the extra 5% coupon code for daily spam mail :)

If all goes well I'll invest in the Henkelmans.

Plan on trying some different cooking techniques with sous vide.

  • Wow, just tried to order two rolls of vacuum bags, shipping was $17 for regular post to WA…. pass

  • I've been looking out for one of these since ordering the Anova precision cooker a couple of months back. Hope this works will for sous vide
