I know how this warranty works, you live in Melbourne and you have to send the luggage back to Sydney at your expenses and get it delivered back to Melbourne at your expenses.
Let's see I buy a medium or large luggage and I guess the cost of delivering and receiving the luggage back will be greater that the luggage's cost!

From my limited knowledge of luggage, American Tourister is supposed to be a bit more ruggedised compared to Samsonite, at the expensive of being a bit heavier. Samsonite seem to focus on the least weight as possible.
