Ozito Power X Change Cordless Mower Kit - $99 (was $299) @ Bunnings Morwell (VIC)

1190

Saw this while walking through Bunnings in Morwell today. Seems like a pretty good price, didn't grab one myself but there was quite a few left. Not sure if it's nationwide as it's still $249 on the website - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-2-x-18v-cor…

Kit includes the mower, 2x fast chargers and 2x 18V 2Ah batteries.

  • Is it same price in VIc?

    • i’ve only got 100m2 in total of lawn so this is tempting if the deal is also in vic ….

what is the deal with “next model up”is it bigger battery or also bigger motor ?

      • Wider cut AFAIK

      • Definitely bigger batteries (4Ah vs 2Ah). Cutting width is ~10% larger, so blade circle area is ~20% larger. Motor power is not specified, but I assume it's higher because of the larger blade area.

    • Called up Notting Hill and tried to price match, no luck. Unfortunately this seems to be just 1 store in VIC…

  • Decent price…..have a corded version which works well. Now wonder how the cordless one would stack up (and be cord free). Will have to check the local Bunnings.

it is cheap but it doesn't work properly. I bought it and tried to compared with a brushless ryobi 36v. This is nowhere near and I sold it in a week. I know the ryobi cost a lot more but it works. Recently I got the AEG one and I can say it is as powerful as a 2-stroke (and it is better than ryobi). I would say this is only ok if you have a townhouse-size lawn and you need to maintain the lawn frequently.

    • ACL would have allowed you a refund.

    • the brushless would make a difference on cutting power, might check out the AEG , only have town size yard eg 100m2.

might be ozito getting ready to also do 36v brushless mower, pressume clearance is for brushed motor.

$249 at Boxhill and Nunawading store

Apparently this is a clearance price and other Bunnings won’t price match it

    • So in other words Bunnings won't price match one of their own prices. That doesn't make any sense. All the Bunnings stores are owned by the same company isn't it?.

      • +1

some store clear out things that aren’t moving stock based on demographics ….inner bayside melbourne people have small yards so sell less petrol mowers, people in outer suburbs have bigger yards so they sell more petrol mowers.

  • I saw a guy talking to one of the staff about it at Kotara on Saturday, that it was supposed to be $99, but was charged $299.

  • +2

Just rang Morwell, had 11 in stock, then took about half an hour to price check, 249. Sounds like the deal's over, buddy boy.

    Bummer.

    • Really? I think I also saw the same price in the Traralgon store. Maybe try giving them a call.

      • +2

Just rang them up, guy said they had about 15 in stock, scanned at 249 as well.

Don't think I'm getting one, but thanks anyways dude. :)

        • Damn, sorry mate!

      • Sorry don't know how to

        • You can just take a photo and upload it to https://imgur.com/upload and post the link. Can do it from your phone too.

    Got one,
but they really put up a good fight first.

    • LOL. Where'd you get one?

      • +1

SEQ - actually they told me not to say and marked my receipt as last one.

        • Can you upload the receipt please

  • According to Bunnings Malaga WA, they don't price match eastern's Bunnings.

    • Thanks, now I know Malaga don't have it.

Responses vary. One staff member at Morley said they don't match clearance items (that was for a different deal, not the mower).

  • Tried port melbourne and mentone, Moorabin …no deals going on ozito lawn mowers, says live item for them so no clearance.

Tried to get it price matched at Bunnings Auburn NSW - was also advised they dont' price match their own stores. Currently selling for $249.

  • No deal at Bunnings Altona North.

  • Trying to pricematch and having no luck. Oh well. If someone has a receipt, can you post it up?

    Thanks.

If you're interested I bought one for $150

Bunnings pakenham did 2 for me $149 each
    Reciept soon

  • +2

If anyone is scanning through for a receipt I posted one around 1/3 of the way down on the previous page of comments.

    • Thanks ,saves me having to learn how to do it.

Buy the way I just finished mowing the yard on it's highest setting,
before it cut out after 20min.
This feels like a toy , but may suit very small yard.

Soon as it rains this thing is going on the notice board down at the local shops/ Mega-development with their 300sq/m blocks.

  • Tried using it yesterday. I'm actually impressed considering of how lightweight it is. It does feel like a toy though.

    • Can it runs for an hour?

      • I don't think so. With that said, I used it for maybe 30mins on and off and even then it still has power left.

  • Full price in the Canberra stores :(

  • +2

Looking forward to this deal coming back around again to go with the mower. C'mon Aldi…put your 18v gear back on sale again.

That's why I think $99 for this model will recur.

    Belmont nsw has 12. Won't budge on $299 price…

  • +2

Am amazed that this thread is still going on. Nowhere other than original OP location had them for $99. Bunnings must be delighted with all of this interest (as would Ozito). No doubt many sales were gained from this thread. One wonders if they or Ozito created the deal just to pump up interest (ok…perhaps not), They will be delighted though.

    • +1

Not true there were a few and some others saying they got it for $150

      • +2

Not $99 as noted in title though. Regardless, great advertising for both and have no doubt it has prompted some business that wouldn't have existed prior to this post. A win win for some Ozbargainers and Bunnings alike.

    • I got it for $100 each at the Kotara NSW store. Posted my receipt on the previous page of comments.
Seems I was absolutely in the minority though, but it was happening at at least 2 locations.

  • So what happens with clearance type items and the warranty, i.e. say you buy a heavily discounted power xchange product, that is marked as ex-display and it fails, do they have to give you a new one?

    • If they cannot locate another one, they refund you. That's what happened to me with an Ozito cordless pruning saw (not Power X Change).

  • Ok thanks. So ita a $90 product for $19. And there are always heaps in stock and its a power xchange product, marked ex- display

    • +1

Whats $90 and marked as $19?

  • Was a one of… the hedge trimmer,
