  • Why are they selling the mower in docklands store?

    • What store should they sell it at?

      • +1

Docklands is like Circular Quay/Darling Harbour, just concrete & units.

        • May be that's why on sale

  • I don't think I've ever seen these for sale on the Costco website, are they like an in-store thing only?

    • Yes,in store only, the website still showing full price

  • haven't used thi mower or brand before

Greenworks is fairly popular & well regarded in the US.
I'm not sure how many tools they have in the 80v range.

Ive got the 40v version and it's very light and a bit gutless.

Great price with the 4Ah kit for a very capable electric push mower. Unfortunately this line seems to be end of life and I wouldn't recommend getting into a non-existent ecosystem, but as a throw away, go for it.
I had to modify my Victa 82v to take the Greenworks keyed battery after the ridiculously priced batteries disappeared from the market. Kobalt is another brand with the same motor/battery (keyed differently again).

    • I assume you mean you modified the Greenworks battery to fit your Victa 82v appliance? Victa, Greenworks, Kobalt, & Snapper all use the same "core" battery with different grooves on the outside of the case. The grooves can be modified/removed so pretty much every brand's 82v battery can be made to fit in other brand 82v appliances.

      • I modified (removed the lower rails) on my old out of warranty mower and charger rather than risk damaging a new battery. I also thought I'd be safer than accidentally cutting into the battery housing.

I did see some videos where people opted to modify the batteries and use a few different combinations of all those brands.

        • FWIW, the outer shell of the battery should be taken off before you cut it (and it comes off really easily)

    Wow.. that's a steal

  • Good luck finding spare batteries
for example, you would expect this to work but it won't
