[VIC] Ozito PXC 18V Bluetooth Speaker Skin $20 (Was $39.90) @ Bunnings, Warragul

450

Just dropping this handy little speaker in here that I found in Bunnings, I've had one for about 2-3 years now and use it constantly in the shed or doing things outside. Sound quality is pretty good for the price, quite bassy, runs off your stack of Ozito batteries (and runs forever, your phone will die before the speaker does). Just have to make sure if you're using the charging port on the back that you actually press the button to turn the port on, I got caught out a few times by that. Doesn't seem to be TWS capable sadly else I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another speaker here

Hello Local Ozbargain friend. I’m also a Warragul Local.

I am also Warragul local as well, tomorrow only and before grabing a speaker.

I read on the Ozito FB group that new the model was coming and that's why these ones are on clearance. Interested to see if there's any upgrades or if it's just a body change

I bought one of these and it was pretty average. Doesn’t go very loud and if it does it sounds so bad. It might be okay using it inside a building (shed/garage etc) but terrible for outside use.

If there is a new model coming would be interested!

    • Is the carabineer with bottle opener any good?

Seems like a good implementation for roof carpenters etc who need near range music and two free hands for their powertools and beers while on the job

      • Nope. Never used it.

    • +1

Yeah 95% of the time I'm using it inside, I don't have issues outside but don't have a lot of noise around I guess. For $20 and never needing to remember if it's charged it's worth it to me, think I paid $35 though at the time

I thought the average ozbargainer already has like 2-4 Bluetooth ip66 speakers already from all the Anker/logitech/jbl/random Amazon brands deal posts over the years.

Have you been sneaking around in my shed?

I had to look up "TWS". I found:

TWS is a South Korean boy band

Are there any other artists this speaker isn't capable of, or is it just certain K-pop bands?

    • +1

Not sure if you are serious.

In speaker context, TWS means pairing 2 speakers to the same audio source to create stereo sound.

Gosh, if you enjoy music and play it constantly, why would you choose Ozito, of all hi-fi brands?

    • +1

      That's not the target audience.

    • else if just want some tunes when camping occasionally.

    • I'll be using it for podcasts, audio books, and a few YouTube videos, but rarely music.

    • The average ozito user may not care for bose speakers i reckon.

      • +3

As would the average Hi-fi listener

    • You think that anyone who is serious about music fidelity is going to have high expectations for a tiny, mono Bluetooth speaker designed for outdoor use?

    $29 at Virginia, QLD.

  • Has anyone taken an Ozito battery on a flight overseas? I'm thinking of buying some Ozito battery operated tools as gift for relatives overseas. Tks

    • Which country? Ozito PXC tools are actually Einhell tools rebranded here under Ozito, most of Europe stock them under Einhell. Check countries here https://www.einhell.com/

  • I just set it up and listened to a YouTube video playing on my computer in another room about 10 metres away. It has a more stable connection at that distance than my Elan Bluetooth Connect radio, which costs almost 10 times as much. I can also pause the video by pressing the power button. A long press on the power button disconnects the device and the sound can be heard from the computer speakers instantly, whereas with the Elan it takes about 10 seconds.

    • You suck.

P.s…but also remember when all you have is a shitty Bluetooth speaker you got off Ozbargain to Rock On Friday Night , stick it in a ceramic bowl as it acts like a speaker enclosure and eco’s much better.

  • can you set up 2 speakers and play it from one device?

    • I do not believe so.
