Seems really cheap compared to other listings around $26. Possibly another pricing error

Is that bad or…..?
Over 1.7kWh a day to remove just 0.5L under sticky, tropical conditions - warm & quite humid!
Oz electricity prices being quite high.
That's pretty standard considering big bulky refrigerated dehumidifiers use about 1kw/h and remove about 1l/hour.
One wonders how much warmer the area would become, by adding some 1.7kWh of heat over the day?
Over 3.5kWh to remove 1L - appearing far less efficient than your 1kWh to remove 1L.
One imagines efficiency varies with both temperature & humidity levels.
(As does air conditioning.)Depends on the area. A small pantry that's insulated well, a fair few degrees actually. An area the size of a walk in closet, barely noticeable.
It's 72watts per hour, so if there's a gap in the door or something that could dissipate that heat. Then it won't heat anything up much at all.
I've got one of these small dehumidifiers and a large refrigerated one back when I lived at a place that had an incredibly musty basement that flooded every time it rained which needed a sloped floor leading to a sump pump. I needed the big one in the basement and the small one in a cabinet otherwise everything would mold.
Now if you only have a small area, then it won't need to be run all the time and the cost over the lifespan would be less with one of these small ones. It's the same idea as comparing a split system to a space heater. If all I want to do is heat my bathroom when I use it then a space heater is a much better and cheaper idea than installing a split system just for the bathroom.
Approx 500ml per day at 30°C,RH80% … you better be using a small room. Like a dolls house ;)
I 'see' [???] Area m^2, rather than Volume m^3 - so divide by [at least] 2.4?
Leaving ~8sqm?
Bathroom/wardrobe!That's what these are for though; pantries, wardrobes, cabinets ect.
Fair point.
Topfaithshop sells the 1.5L version $25 cheaper than the 500ml…
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/500ml-1500ml-Portable-Ultrasonic…Looks to use the same peltier element, so it won't get rid of any extra moisture - it can just have more in the tank before it automatically shuts off.
Couldn't see mention of power consumption for this??
BUT coppers specs by halving moisture removal & area figures - 0.25L & 10sqm mentioned.
SUSS? - Ringing alarm bells to me!
This item is out of stock.
Thi is good for 3d printer filament, I guess ?
got a message saying he got hacked lol.

https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/resolving-issues-sellers…Explain the policy violation with topfaithshop and globalshoppingnow and how they would not honour your sale after you already made payment. eBay assured me they are going to penalise the seller and escalate the policy violation.
They are saying that to you just to make you feel better, nothing is going to happen.
It's completely unreasonable for people to expect all these $10 bargains from a single seller who obviously had their account compromised.
