Good deal or wait for future deals?
Definitely wait. I save so much money by waiting for better deals that never appear.
noob here needing to buy a tv to replace my more than 15 years old sony tv. no joke.
does harvey norman normally have good sales for tv? i have about $500 worth of their gift cards. or should i wait for jb hifi for good deals?
Just get them to price match. Also make sure you don’t bring out the gift cards until you’re about to pay.
@flashi007: ah didn't think of that. thank you. but why shouldn't i mention the gc before paying time?
@Jared17: They might refuse to pricematch since you're not paying full amount with cash.
@Jared17: id whip them out when I get to the register to pay. Screw them down on the price and state you’re paying cash today - gift cards are cash. some shops treat them differently.
@SuBw00FeR: I see
Well the 65P6 that I bought a few weeks ago from eBay sales is still $400 more than I paid for it, so probably wait unless you’re desperate for a TV right now
Depends how much you need a new TV now
TV's are always cheapest in the first few months of the year, just before they launch the new models
Out of topic. Anyone knows how to calibrate picture for N7? Impossible for me to get it right on my Xbox One S UHD setup.
Immensely disappointed with my 50" N7. The picture is good enough but the user experience with the remote is abysmal. It seems to randomly miss commands regularly, other times it repeats them over and over, everything is slow and it's a bit unbearable. I went and bought a Logitech harmony to try and fix it but it didn't help these issues and introduced new ones!
I have the 75"N7 and have none of these problems. It's been a great TV and would highly recommend Hisense.
How long have you had it? I would be making a warranty claim if it's still covered.
But it isn't broken?
I have the 55 also not seeing these issues with the remote.
I have a 55N7 and no such issues. Even operating a cheap kodi tv box works fine with the tv remote.
Sounds like either there's an issue with the sensor in the TV (they can get damaged) or it could be interference - do you have the TV in direct sunlight, or have fluorescent lights?
The 9 series looks amazing in person. I would say it’s better value than the Samsung Q8 or even Q9 series.
Any opinions on the 43P6? Does it meet all Xbox One X requirements?
It's difficult finding reviews for smaller TVs.
It supports HDR and 4K so what not. Just not sure if it’s HDR10
For anyone interested in the P7 it appears the good guys have price matched JB and are offering a $250 GG gift card with the purchase. https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hisense-65-inches164cm-uled-u…
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/cons/groups/public/documents/…you should post this as its own deal.
Thanks, been looking at the 65P7 and missed out on the 25% ebay deal. Just grabbed one from TGG.
The 50" P6 Looks like it might suit me as I was unable to get the Teac, this a price to buy at ($848) or wait?
A decent reduction but not as good as the ebay 25% off electrical retailers of ten days ago when I purchased a Hisense P4 39" delivered to my home from videopro for $476.50 as opposed to the $508 instore offer at JB.
Incidentally it's a cracking TV as a second TV. It's size is perfect for streaming SD and 720p quality streams which look substandard on the 55" Sony 4K TV we have in the main viewing room.
39inch cheaper at Harvey Norman ($497)? Or is this a different model?
The 39inch 39P4 is a new 2018 model. The HN website indicates a ticket price of $595 with a few bottles of wine kicked in.
Has this actually expired? Was planning on going in store tomorrow
It was Saturday only
