    Katy struggling to sell seats?

    • +4

Looks like her fans are fed up with her ‘roar’

    • +4

This is pretty well the norm for big tours in Australia. Macca and Roger Waters did it just before their concerts opened. It's better to have a half-price bum sitting on a seat rather than an empty one.

      Katy struggling to sell seats?

16 shows in Australia this time round … She was in Australia in 2014 and had like 28 shows … don't know any other big name act that does that many shows.

        pink?

        • Pink highly demand in here then in US

Before she married Russell brand she was amazingly naturally beautiful. These days she looks like a haggard coke head lesbian. Both eras of her life her music was and remains garbage while in her former years she was great to watch live if you were deaf

This pretty much sums it up..

I love Katy Perry, and especially this video.

More than happy to cop any ridicule from the OzBargain shame police.

Isn't pink doing her tours about the same time

  • Floss Floss bish

Seriously though. this is why ozB works.

ticketek site slammed.. finally get in see the $$$ prices. and back out.

The concert on august 17th is exhausted (Allocations for $49.99)

Was able to got for Thursday 16th at the same price.

    Gotta love OzBargain

  • There's normally pretty good deals on gumtree for under-sold shows a few days before the concert.

    • +5

Tickets on gumtree are a huge gamble unless they are official booth printed ones. No way I would buy a home printed or E-ticket.

      • Yeah - it's a gamble … but so is the $20 tv on gumtree … you win some, you lose some … make sure you're friends with some bikies.

i bought gun & roses ticket from scamtree last time and i cannot validate the ticket so i need to purchase another ticket to get into the show…

She has three shows scheduled in Adelaide, which is pretty extraordinary. Normally Adelaide has just one, and some acts miss us altogether (Paul McCartney). Plus consumers are accustomed to waiting a bit because they know half price tickets will appear on Lasttix unless the show is selling exceptionally well.

And yes, I am going. Front row seats. She is my cheesy pop selection and I'm proud of that :-)

Never seen her live but her song videos are a hoot. Some imagination has been put into them and she seems to have a ball making fun of herself.

  • +2

Cheers OP, and thanks again to the three dudes who messaged me about this.

Snagged a couple tickets for me and the missus, she'll be wrapped and I'll probably enjoy the three or four songs I remember of her's from 2008. Can't say I really know anything after that Teenage Dream song or whatever, but there's enough familiar singles I should have a decent enough time too.

49.50 a pop, if not for the booking fee we'd have both got in for a hundo.

    Ooft this is sad

  • Not sure if this has been posted, but they also have Kendrick Lamar Tickets for SA and WA. I got an A reserve ticket for Adelaide for $71.50

    • You couldn't pay me 71.50 to see that racist douchebag.

"Curry purri". That's what a young autistic man called her Constantly when he showed me his scrap book full of magazine photo clippings of her.

Do you know if I need ticket for 2.5 years old kid? Thanks

    • +2

Yes you will but the hearing damage for your toddler comes free

      • +1

We went to the Roger Waters concert and the kid near us had a pair of ear muffs on. Not sure how possible it would be to get a kid to wear it and not sure if you are being fair to the people around you taking a, potentially, very cranky kid to a concert. Find a good baby sitter and enjoy yourself.

        • Your comment reminds me of when I went to the cinema to see the original Deadpool film. R rated movie and a couple with a baby in a pram thought it would be a great idea to bring their needy disruptive barely developed spawn along into a packed cinema full of adults paying top dollar to watch a new release of an adult film.

        • @Joey Jo Jo: Yeah, you do wonder what some parents are thinking. Then again it doesn't take much brains to spawn a kid. Have a look at the film Idiocracy.

    Katy who?

    • +5

then this post isnt for you, move on.

  • I think the message that she sends to young girls is fantastic.
She is a very good role model and very nice person.

  • For the record, the show was actually pretty good. The opener, Starley, killed it (couple slow songs but when she got going, she got going), and then Katy did her set for a good two hours or so, plenty oldies from a decade or so back, fair few newer ones I didn't know too, sounded great, the visuals and effects were top notch too, all in all it was a pretty good show, for a cheeky fifty I'd take the missus next time.

Downsides though, support started 20 odd late, and then there was a break of like 45 minutes after that before Katy came out which definitely bummed most of us all out. Good show in the end though, even if the ticket said 730 and there was no Katy until 920. Also didn't play Waking Up In Vegas which was a bummer.

Dudes outside flogging knock off shirts with the legit designs as usual, wanted 20 for a top and 40 for a hoodie, offered the dude 50 for them both, walked into the show, right there the shirt I got was 50 alone, nice.

I'd go again if it hit this price again, seats were fantastic too.
