    Was $54x in March from TGG. It is likely they will do it again. If it is not an urgent requirement I see no deal.

    Yeah, no deal sorry. Got the Black Sesame model (always a bit more expensive than the Silver model) for around $560 a few months ago and that came with a free bag of beans… which are far more useful to have with a new machine than coasters.

    No deal. Historic low prices sub $500 (which may not happen again mind you). Semi regular low prices $519-$540. I know this because I've been looking to get one and am ready to pounce once the price is right.

    Between $520 and $545 is the target price for this in recent sales; a touch more for red or black.

  • I wouldn't buy and recommend this one without extended warranty,out of personal experience

      What happened to yours Olli? I've had mine for a couple of months and love it. It replaces a Nespresso and when I ran the figures I discovered this machine only needs to last me 14 months to completely pay for itself versus the high cost of the Nespresso Capsules. As an added bonus we're enjoying better tasting coffee and have far less waste too. Of course I'd like it to last longer but yeah if I can get 14 months out of it I'll be happy.

        'this machine only needs to last me 14 months to completely pay for itself '

        How? Do tell

          As above: "…versus the high cost of the Nespresso Capsules"

          The Nespresso Capsules we liked were 79c each which is a single shot. I can make an equivalent single shot we also like for 18c using beans in the Breville so that's a cool 61c less per shot than the Nespresso. At two shots per day that's a daily saving of $1.22 therefore it only takes 450 days (approx. 15 months) to save the approximate $550 purchase cost but as all those values are very conservative (extra coffees on the weekends etc.) we know we'll get there sooner hence the '14 months'. Other benefits include far less waste and far more variety using bags of beans.

          @SteveAndBelle:
          I carefully read this, like you calculations.
          I buy other capsules for 35c-45c when on special.
          I would need 20 months then.

        • @shanty:

          I would need 20 months then.

          Or you can replace the funny, unsustainable, still expensive capsules and have an actual coffee.

        • @shanty: With a scary big mortgage and other expenses eating most of our income away I need to do cost/benefit analysis of all such purchases before I take the plunge. The only reason we initially went for a Nespresso was for the same reason ie. it was far cheaper having a Nespresso coffee each morning versus buying a $3-4 coffee from a shop. Thanks to getting the Nespresso for less than $200 it paid itself off in no time (only about 2 months!) compared to shop bought Coffees so that made a lot of sense. That was when we had a tiny temporary Kitchen during major renovation works so the neat & compact Nespresso was ideal however now I've finished building the real Kitchen I treated myself to the Breville which is now only about 12 months off paying for itself too. Not sure what the next step will be tho :)

          @SteveAndBelle:

          And if you actually want to compare the strength of the coffee itself, you'll need to use more capsules to get the same strength as a traditional espresso shot:
          https://www.choice.com.au/food-and-drink/drinks/tea-and-coff…

        • @e-Sassin: We used the Indirya (or however it's spelled) capsules which were the more expensive & stronger variety and really enjoyed them… but you're right, it seems a lot easier to get a nice strong shot of coffee using freshly ground beans.

  • received mine two weeks ago from bidmadness off ebay for $520 - the black one - really good communication.

  • I don't know how anyone can drink the muck that comes out of those capsule machines.
    Just dreadful IMHO.
    I'll stick to my French press, though I do fancy one of the Breville machines when I'm a little more flush.
    I find I even prefer coffee bags to those capsules

  • Paid $519.20 in TGG sale. It's a no from me.
