This is exactly what I need.
I wish I was exactly what you needed :-(
I'll take you out :)
Only to spend most of the night outrageously flirting with your new 2TB SSD
@iforgotmysocks: He's too fragile to take out and will stay home ;)
@Clear: So clearly iforgotmysocks will be the side bitch cause the drive will be staying at your home.
@Munki: You've got it all worked out 🕵️
@Clear: I'm like Sherlock minus the autism.
Tempting indeed…
Must .. resist ..
i think i might need to buy a safe to protect my money from myself…
A safe is expensive, how many more bargains have you then missed out on
Just keep buying cryptocurrency. Then you can never touch it.
Just a couple more years and spinning disks will be no more!
yea.. doubt thats going to happen anytime soon. It'll probably take decades. We're up to what 10TB spinning disks?
Recently purchased a 12TB. Not sure if that's the current max for HDDs.
yep mobile phones will be sucking up flash for a long time to come, and they bring out models with more flash and more ram, and you can’t recover the flash or ram when they go into the bin …… also phones have shorter life span than PCs
will be a long time before see so much flash in the market that they replace 8 or 10 tg spindle drives at comparable drives drives …..
Waiting for the 8TB one for $200.
Year 2028
Year 2020*
I remember paying this much for a 512Mb Compact Flash card in 2000.
I've paid a lot more for an 80MB (Mega Byte) HDD in 1991.
Hi grandpa.
Performance difference compared to a 840 or 850 evo?
Slower See. However real world impact is minuscule. No user will notice any speed change if you swap their 1100 to 850.
Now the real question. Is there a cheaper $/gb ssd with slower speeds but still very negligible.
Last question, what is the life expectancy of this ssd.
I think 850 evos have like 5-10 years life expectancy or 1-2 petabytes of read and write lifetime.
Wondering if this has something similar because that is last the defining feature.
If it goes dead after only a few hundred terabytes it's usage might not last more than a few years.

This one comes to US$316.08 delivered for me after PULL5.
Thanks. Grabbed one from this seller instead. Hopefully no issues, being an internal eBay seller.
Damn, that's really tempting
