    https://www.amazon.com.au/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-Entertainmen…

Use the AMAZON20 new user code to get it for $99.

  • Oh what? I thought that this would hit 100 upvotes already by now? lol

Your troll attempts are getting really bad lately

      • +6

        lately?

      • +5

        Attempt?

      • You realise the point of trolling is to get a reaction right?

    • +1

      pathetic

  • +1

Thanks! Picked up an extra controller that I've been searching for since they debuted.

    • +1

Oh does it only come with one? That’s a bit of a downer.

    • I may be mistaken but I think 8bitdo's nes controller also allowed it to connect to this wirelessly. Sounds handy but I haven't used it just yet.

  • +1

time to get some calluses on the thumb:)

    • +1

To match the calluses on my right palm

  • +1

wonder how those scalpers feel about it now

    • +2

Happy if they sold, sad if they held for appreciation.

    • -5

After selling all of mine at a 300% markup it will be nice to pick one up for my own collection.

  • I think I'd prefer to spend $60 on:

    Raspberry Pi $56 (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Raspberry-Pi-3-Model-B-1GB-RAM-Q…)

    +

    Controller $4: (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOT-USB-Controller-Gaming-Gamer-…)

    +

    RetroPi: $0: https://retropie.org.uk/

(If you want it to look the part add another $25 for this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mini-Retroflag-NESPi-NES-Style-C… )

    • +20

      There's always one.

      • +12

        Naa, there's more than 10 available….

        • +5

(that's was an obvious joke, what's up with you folk this afternoon)

        • +4

          @iDroid: telstra users

      • +1

Ohh, ohh… can I do the "You can a cheap knock off from Aliexpress for much less"?

    • -5

Negging something that's cheaper and better while ON OZBARGAIN?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

      • -2

Dude, you just don't know how Ozb operate, there people you like BARGAINS and there is who like junk, ie Nintendo Classic or Nokia 3210, just stay away from them :)

      • +3

If you're trying to offer a genuine alternative don't post up a $4 controller then, that thing will play like shit.

      • +8

I think they're negging because this is an official Nintendo product, the games are not pirated and it works out-of-the-box with no additional setup. Worth an extra $20.

        • -2

Those raspberry pi tippers think people buy these for novelty use but it seems like most buy this for resale profit.
But if you buying this for novelty purpose I still think this a waste of money, since novelty is very shot live.

    • +21

Why buy a mini Nintendo when you can build a raspberry pi and never shut the **** up about it?

      • -1

        Got a sore spot there?

        • +2

Raspberry pi builders are the vegans of the DIY computing world.

        • @freakatronic: Hmm, stereotype much?

        • spot on

    • +3

      Also $s for SD card.

Oh, and however many $s for legitimate software licences.

    • +1

I'm on the fence about Pi vs NES … like the idea of just get a console and turn it on … like the idea of the PI and run lots more games … problem with PI will be downloading ROMs and how to select games, presume the NES just has a menu and ready to go.

If for the Pi it was just download a 5GB zip file and it's ready to that would be tempting but I use to have MAME and each ROM needed and individual download. (P.S some roms copyright expired years ago and some companies didn't renew as machines went end of life e.g some used 6502 or 8080 8 bit CPUs which haven't been made in over 20 years)

Has anything been done to sharpen graphics on the NES or it's good ol' 360p and an emulator ?

Will graphics on this look any better then the $30 china knock offs ?

      • Pi + retropi + 8bitdo

    • +1

It’s already moddable enough for all NES and SNES games, comes with two genuine controllers, and you can get controller cable extensions online cheap.

    • Not much of a price difference to give support to Nintendo to coming up with this concept and for an actual official controller which probably feels higher quality. Also the GUI is probably better on the real Mini NES.
To each his own, even if it did come at a lower price with the case included.

  • +1

This Amazon20 is a one-time code, yeah? You basically have to use a new email and create a new account each time you want to use it? Does Amazon have a problem with duplicate payment methods?

    • Nope. but how many Amazon accounts do you want lol.

      • +4

        I have 12 lol

      • I was going to create a second one for this, but didn't want to go to the trouble for it to complain that the credit card is already in use.

  • +4

Sweet, now to cancel the EB pre-order.

    • I just called EB trying to cancel my order but I have to physically go to the store for a cancellation as it is a pick-up order (even though it is not ready for pick up yet!)

      • You just lost your $20 saving value in time :(

      • +1

Typical EB logic, just like how they try to take your shipping cost if they can't deliver the item if it runs out of stock….
Ohh and they sell unsealed games, I try to avoid these flapwits as much as possible…

      • Yeah, mine is in my local shopping centre, so easy does it.

  • How many years do we reckon it will still be available for Pre-Order? I can wait 2 more years.

  • "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

    • +1

You need to use an account that hasn't used that coupon before.

      • Or made a purchase.

        • Or have made a purchase before on any other Amazon site.

        • @clubberlang:
Nah, worked fine on my account that I've bought stuff from the US on

        • No - my normal account was able to use the code

        • -1

          @Merlict:

I've never bought anything on Amazon AU only Amazon US or UK and went to place an order a couple of weeks ago and its said "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase."

I'll never attempt to place an order on Amazon AU again after that.

      • +1

Yep I just created a "new" account and it worked.

  • -3

Got 5 on seperate accounts to sell when the price goes up.

    • +4

There will be heaps of these things available this time (just like with the SNES mini). You'll be lucky to make the $20 discount back on each one. Scalpers got pwned when the SNES mini was released in huge numbers.

      • +3

I think an /s may have been left out from this post…

I actually read it with sarcasm hence the +1 from me. I could be wrong.

Either way, I guess Monday isn’t the right day for these posts without making it clear lol.

        • hehe. Definitely /s

  • If it ain't got Battle City why even bother.

    • You can mod to include it?

  • how do i get free shipping?

    • before confirming the checkout, it will give you three shipping options

  • Damn I already used AMAZON20 on that 2TB hard drive last week :(

    • +5

Make a new account and order :)

  • YES

  • If I make an order using AMAZON20, then cancel it can I make another and use AMAZON20? I forgot to use Cashback.

    • Yes you can, as long as your order doesn't ship, if you cancel it will allow you to use AMAZON20 again on another order.

    • Wouldn't bother cancelling it, as use of such coupon not listed on CR website will invalidate cashback, as per Amazon rep.

      • says Bonus 5.00% Cashback… without details.
I ordered some other things too.
Amazon Au doesn't even let me cancel it… no shipped.

  • Do the snes mini controllers work on this??

    • Yes and so do the Wii classic controllers.

  • +1

    Can It run PUBG?

    • +3

      Yes

  • don't forget the extra controller

  • when will they be releasing gameboy mini

    • +2

I'm waiting for the N64 Mini

  • This is a good deal… get the SNES mini as it comes with two controllers

U can easily add hundreds of games urself

  • These mini consoles died for me when a) Nintendo decided that they didn't want to make enough and b) the scalpers wanted double the price for them.

  • -2

I thoug the price would be $60 after $20 -_- not worth buying at that price…I've also got the original one with 2 controllers but only like 7 games

  • +1

Controller at Amazon has gone up in price back to RRP at $19.95

  • +1

I tried to play Punch Out on one of these and gave up pretty early because of the lag. As emulation goes, its barely okay. I have an original famicom hooked up to a CRT tv, and its loads better than this.

Im a big Nintendo fanboy but this was disappointing. They could have produced a much better emulator console by using pure hardware emulation along the lines of the Super Nt. https://www.analogue.co/pages/super-nt/

Honestly, you could get an original famicom from Japan and most of the canonical early Nintendo games for not much more than this if you ordered them off Mercari.

  • The code wasn't working so I emailed Amazon Australia and they deposited a $30 credit on to my Amazon account. Then the $20 code worked so I now I have $50 off. Cool story yeah? I ended up getting some games instead in 2 seprare orders with a tub of Palmolive handsoap ($2) to round it up to $70 per order.

  • Can't find anywhere on their site that tell's you what game's are on it ?

    • Will be the same 30 games that have always been on it.

  • No Contra?

    • Famicom Mini has it

  • Mods please let me like JV's comments, idc if it's been past 30 days

  • Snatched up both NES & SNES Classic Mini's right before the code expired. Don't imagine it will get that much cheaper that this before Christmas.
